General Summary of the Position
Our growth has created an excellent opportunity for the right person to join the team as a Superintendent. This role is responsible for leading and managing the Foremen, field crews, and project execution while ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards.
Essential Responsibilities & Functions
Project Oversight
Lead and manage Foremen.
Provide guidance and coaching to Foremen and teams to ensure a quality installation that meets client expectations.
With adept foresight and an understanding of the scope of work, identify potential issues and proactively develop solutions to avoid delays or disruptions.
In collaboration with the Foremen and their teams, identify and implement cost-savings measures without compromising quality.
Lead all on-site construction activities to ensure project completion according to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Update project schedules on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate with subcontractors, internal support teams, and suppliers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Serve as the general point of contact for clients in your portfolio, as the Foremen are the contacts for their specific jobsite. Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
Team Leadership & Development
Must understand, live, and actively promote Structures' policies, culture, and ways-of-working.
Provide daily, ongoing leadership to Foremen & teams on project delivery, staffing, and scheduling.
Supervise and provide as much direction as needed to Foremen and other site personnel.
Actively and visibly foster a positive and productive work environment both at the job site and in the office.
Collaborate with HR and other leadership to hire, coach, and terminate field operations personnel.
Mentor and train Foremen and other site personnel to develop their skills, knowledge, and abilities, delivering projects ahead of schedule and under budget.
Safety & Quality
Promote, enforce, and continuously improve upon Structures' strong safety culture.
Conduct regular safety meetings, including taking an active role in planning and executing Safety Day, in collaboration with the Director of Safety and the safety committee.
Conduct multiple safety audits at jobsites nationally in alignment with Structures' safety program to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
Implement, enforce, and continuously improve quality control procedures to ensure our finished product meets design specifications and surpasses industry standards. Provide real-time coaching and problem-solving to Foremen to immediately resolve any issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role required.
5-10 Years of experience with large-scale civil and sitework for commercial projects required
Experience with large-scale commercial retaining wall projects (5,000 sq ft and above)
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Certifications such as: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) are preferred.
Valid driver's license required; valid CDL also required, or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Proven background in earthwork and civil site conditions with the ability to read and set grade.
Effectively read and discuss blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in construction management software (e.g., B2W, Fieldwire, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and OSHA regulations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Working Conditions
The Superintendent will primarily work on construction sites, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions and physical hazards.
Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines; this may include occasional nights and weekends.
Regular travel to project sites is required in personal and/or company vehicle.
This position may require up to 40% national travel.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds.

The Area Safety Superintendent is responsible for the administration, facilitation, and coordination of the Cementation Safety Management System under the direction of the Manager of Safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform workplace inspections at projects under the direction of the manager of safety and complete a General Inspection Report, which will be provided to the site superintendent and head office. This is the most important function of a Superintendent of Safety.
Ensure that all new projects under your direction are provided with all the resources and mentoring necessary to ensure compliance with the Cementation Policies and Procedures, as well as local and provincial or territorial jurisdictions.
Assist in the development of Health and Safety Policies.
Audit project sites and the site Safety & Training coordinators to ensure compliance with the Cementation Safety Management System and Training Programs.
Provide vacation relief as required to field projects they are responsible for
Assist in the development of written job procedures for all tasks being performed at a project.
Review all policies and procedures with the Manager of Safety before implementation.
May be required to conduct a refresher, on a yearly basis, of the Basic Health and Safety Policy and Safety Management System with all the appropriate workers.
Review, with the appropriate workers, the written job procedures and keep a record of the training on file.
Assist site management in resolving any training concerns.
Attend any required training courses appropriate to the position or safety conferences related to the mining environment, participate on committees and sub-committees, attend Safety Association meetings as requested by the Corporate Manager - Health & Safety.
Conduct Job Observations along side of the trainer on each worker based on the worker's training requirements and sign the worker off on the appropriate mining modules.
Conduct a Training Needs Analysis for each Cementation worker who requires training.
Ensure that records of training and documentation are kept and available for each individual worker.
Communicate with Head Office personnel with respect to registration of any new workers and of the successful modules which the Cementation workers may have completed.
Ensure that project sites under your direction maintain an up-to-date training matrix.
Issue related training documents.
Coordinate First Aid and C.P.R. Training and refresher training for all the workers, supervisors, superintendents and site managers.
Coordinate the training for each for projects under your direction for Supervisors in the Supervisory Common Core and provide Supervisor Orientation on newly hired or promoted Supervisors.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position will be required to travel when necessary. A valid US Passport and authorization to travel internationally is required.
OTHER
All training documentation and inspection reports will be filled out in a timely. fashion. A copy of the original will be placed in the employee's file, and the original will be kept at Head Office.
The Superintendent of Safety will be asked to perform other duties as requested from time to time by the Manager of Safety.

A minimum of 10 years of work experience and understanding of all phases of roadway construction (dirt excavation work, underground utilities, grading, etc.)
A minimum of 10 years of reading blueprint and specs for roadway earth work projects
Pass driver license and criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive heavy civil or highway construction experience.
Proven record of completing large-scale projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of scheduling software, project documentation, and reporting.

Job Summary
A Project HSE Manager is an integral member of a project team and they are highly dedicated to the health and well-being of others. Ability to effectively lead, mentor and build high performing teams.
Ability to identify deficient plans and work and provide resolution.
Thorough and attentive to details; organizational skills and can run multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to communicate with and establish strong relationships with trade partners, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
Extensive knowledge of construction industry practices and procedures, software systems, as well as construction scheduling and cost control.

Basic Job Functions:
The Project Superintendent (PS) will plan, coordinate, and supervise the field and/or administrative operations of projects. They will provide technical direction and have responsibility for the safety, costs, productivity, profitability, and overall quality of the work (including self-performed work) for the project(s). The PS will establish productivity goals and measure performance as well as schedule labor, materials, and equipment, including the work of subcontractors and may supervise one or more field superintendents. This position will be supporting projects across Utah, possibly into Idaho or Montana. Travel to project locations will be required. Must have structures/bridge project experience.
This position includes several 'steps', which provide for a progression of skill and experience.
* Project Superintendent I is capable of less complex projects of $20 million and under with typically 3-5 years' experience in this position.
* Project Superintendent II is capable of medium scale projects of $20-$50 million in size with typically 5-10 years' experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manages field operations. Is responsible for project success, including profitability, safety, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
2. Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop the project management plan (PMP) including the project scope management plan, procurement plan, environmental plan, time management plan, financial plan, quality management and safety plans and risk management plan to ensure successful project execution. Demonstrates an understanding of the change management process.
3. Responsible for the development and implementation of the Project Quality Management and Safety plans according to Sundt standards as part of the project management plan (PMP).
4. Provides leadership and guidance to assigned project team members and subcontractors. Plans, reviews, develops and manages the project team to ensure relentless execution of the project.
5. Ensures work is executed according to contract terms and conditions in a profitable manner.
6. Develops and manages the construction plan for the successful execution of the work performed.
7. Prepares and updates the original CPM Project Schedule and ensures the schedule is kept current to manage the project appropriately while utilizing LEAN processes and Weekly Work Plans.
8. Conducts weekly coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors and prepares daily field status reports.
9. Interacts effectively with owners, teams and other stakeholders to maintain a positive project environment and exceptional client experience.
10. Assists in the review of shop drawings, submittals, subcontract change orders and purchase orders.
11. Coordinates the documentation of constructability issues, potential design conflicts and clarifications with the appropriate personnel.
12. Responsible for the timely completion of all punch lists and develops a schedule as required by the owner for the successful start-up and commissioning of all systems.
13. Prevents claims, identify potential claims, quantify, document, mitigate/resolve the effects of those that do occur on a timely basis.
Minimum Job Requirements:
1. Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience required.
2. Must have construction project and supervision experience in similar types of facilities.
3. Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, and methods), negotiations, engineering, cost control, scheduling, and safety.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
