We're looking for senior tradespeople with geotechnical construction experience including: soil nailing, micropiles, shotcrete, rock drilling, grouting, and case drilling. This is a travel job with projects across the US. Crews work a 3-week on, 1-week off schedule. All of our work is geotechnical, including geohazard projects like landslide repair, mudslide repair and erosion control, where experienced tradespeople play a critical role in our success. Responsibilities Working with a Superintendent and teammates, apply your skills effectively to get work done efficiently, safely and correctly. Work in your specialty area but be willing and able to contribute any work that helps drive project success. Travel across the US to do work. We travel on 3-week on, 1-week off or 5-day on, 2-day off schedules depending on the location of the crew member and the work. Learn and apply new skills so you can do more: machines, soils technology, specialty techniques, leadership and problem-solving principles. Qualifications 2+ years of geotechnical or civil construction experience Heavy equipment operation experience (skid steer, excavator, concrete/grout pump, etc.) Equipment cleanup and maintenance. Experience with casing, rock drilling or similar. At least one year of traveling construction labor experience. At least one year of working outside in all conditions. Ability to understand and meet daily production targets. A history of problem solving; the ability to grasp a problem, see a solution, and do whatever it takes to get the problem solved. A history of complying with construction crew safety principles and tools. Ability to be on time, all the time, every time. Job Description The Laborer job at this sand and gravel plant is primarily responsible for helping operate and maintain the sand and gravel plant. This role involves removing clay/rock from the conveyor belt and maintaining the feed of the material into the plant. This role involves performing daily maintenance and safety checks of the equipment and learning proper operation specific to a sand and gravel plant. As well as executing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure seamless operation. The laborer will also be asked to handle heavy equipment and engage in various sand and gravel related activities once fully trained to do so.
