Travis Knipe
StarRez

I grew up with my father the late Alan Knipe who was a technology visionary and the founder of StarRez. He never called himself that of course, but he just loved technology and was amazing at using it to solve problems for customers. This is also in my DNA, and I became involved with the family business from a young age. In my early 20's I had a huge opportunity to take StarRez international (back then it was called StarNet Systems). In 2006 I officially setup the Denver office and started building an amazing team to serve our growing North American market. In 2008 we launched StarRez in London and Europe, 2009 in Singapore and we continue to grow into more than 20 countries managing over 2 million residential beds. As the CEO , I am a global citizen switching between Melbourne, Denver and London frequently. Plus I wear a lot of different hats. I am most passionate about the product design and direction and connecting with our team and community, so that is where I try to focus most of my time, along with scaling the company for continued growth and success. International expansion and scaling are two of more core competencies that I love and enjoy mentoring start-ups on. Away from StarRez I love to spend time with my family and friends, I love exploring new countries, keeping super fit, following all sports and I happen to be a passionate Motorsport fan. I am also passionate about giving back to the YPO community and as an advisor and board member for Children’s Fortress Africa which helps homeless children find support, love, fitness, education and purpose.
