BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of general maintenance work which contributes to the upkeep and care of the parks, buildings and facilities and ball fields. This is accomplished by maintaining the appearance and safety of the grounds; cleaning in and around all buildings and areas, ensuring the readiness for play of the athletic fields; maintaining the appearance and safety of the playground and picnic areas; maintaining the cleanliness of the grounds and facilities; maintaining the safe and efficient operation of equipment; and completing related work as assigned.

6 H Maintains the cleanliness of the grounds and facilities by removing litter, emptying trash barrels, removing broken glass, and cleaning the bathrooms.
7 H Maintains the safe and efficient operation of equipment by sharpening blades, performing basic maintenance such as oiling parts and replenishing gasoline and oil, and repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts.

It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children. This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family's home and community-Intercept is not an office-based program. Intercept provides intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family's unique needs, ultimately helping them achieve lasting change through evidence-based mental health interventions, along with the development of new parenting and communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Family Intervention Specialist: * Carries a caseload of 4 to 6 families * Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week, scheduled at the convenience of the families * Conducts on-going assessment of youth to determine their needs from a strength-focused, solution-based perspective * Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development to help enhance clinical skills * Drives up to 60 to 80 miles to meet with families in their homes and communities (additional travel may be required) * Collaborates with other providers, case workers, and courts to formulate a collaborative treatment plan * Provides on-call crisis support to the youth and family (schedules vary by location) * Completes accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR) * Performs other duties as assigned Additional Information: * Schedule is flexible and non-traditional as it is based around the availability of youth and families served. * Applicants must possess a current, valid driver's license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. * Community-based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage. This position will be required to serve on-call after regular business hours, for which compensation is provided. The incumbent must provide face-to-face assessment and crisis intervention services to any person requesting help or presenting a crisis at any time. Teamwork, initiative and positive example in work habits are always expected. Provides consultation and support to fellow staff as needed. This position requires an
aptitude
for working with severely mentally ill, often impoverished people; and for seeing this work as a clinical specialty in which we take great pride. The incumbent should have knowledge and skills in assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning, and community support services for children, adults, and geriatric persons with mental illness, as well as knowledge of psychotherapeutic medications and basic casework skills. This position aids keeping unassigned caseloads up to date and/or assistance to caseworkers with assigned caseloads as needed. The incumbent is accountable to the Center Manager. HFC incorporates principles of trauma-informed care, which includes cultural sensitivity, in all areas of service delivery. All job descriptions include the responsibility to learn about and implement trauma-informed practices within the scope of work for the position. Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university with major in social, behavioral or human services field.(Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Nursing, Early Childhood Education, etc.) Licensure is not required. Experience with Severe and Persistent Mental illness is preferred. Must have valid driver's license and be insurable to drive Center vehicles. Must pass all Center mandated trainings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and proof correspondence, reports and computer printouts manually, etc.
Good spelling and grammar skills.
Ability to write progress notes according to standard, assessments, brief mental status exams, memos, letters, various complex reports and miscellaneous other documents with acceptable spelling and grammar.
Ability to relate verbal instructions, communicate in a courteous and effective fashion with co-workers, consumers and families, agencies and the public.
Display a customer service orientation; always treating customers as equals and partners.
Skilled in the use of personal and network computers, word processing, database, spreadsheet and office management software (Microsoft Office), SmartCare, familiarity with CARE.
