Essential Functions of the Role
Collects and records patient data, reporting information to nursing team members promptly. Obtains and records patient vital signs, height, weight, nutritional intake, and output. The Interventional Rad Technologist, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs interventional radiology (IR) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Performs high quality IR procedures, according to exam protocol, in a timely manner. Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to: identify patient service requirements, ensure correct exam is performed on the correct patient, and establish rapport with patients and others. Instructs and communicates with patients and their family regarding the test to be performed and assesses patient's ability to tolerate exam.
Prepares patient and area for procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols and techniques. Uses proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive multimodality procedures and maintains hand hygiene requirements.
Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment. Reports issues to management or appropriate department. Assists in maintaining supplies inventory.
Ensures individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
Obtains, verifies and maintains all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status and shielding precautions taken, consent forms, policies and procedures, etc.
Maintains medical imaging records in appropriate system and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.

Part Time Night
The Polysomnography Tech 2, under the direction of the Manager, coordinates the daily operations of the Sleep Laboratory. Within this framework, responsible for monitoring and accessing Sleep Lab quality, policies and procedures, staff and equipment performance. Under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist, the Rehabilitation Tech assists in the direct patient care including vital signs, bathing, beds, and all other activities of daily living.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates knowledge of classroom management and ensures that residents participate appropriately in group setting.
• Demonstrates ability to assist with lessons, activities and exams, ensuring that appropriate curriculum is facilitated to residents.
• Ability to assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) - toileting, personal hygiene, changing briefs, showering, feeding, etc.
• Assist with transfer and mobility activities and use of mechanical lifts under the direction of the supervising therapist/therapists
• Assist therapists with treatment sessions as indicated under the direction of the supervising therapists.
• Demonstrates the ability to monitor the client's behaviors; appropriate social and work boundaries, job skills and abilities and provide both positive and/or negative feedback.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of techniques utilized to modify behavior in a positive way.
• Demonstrates understanding of client's functional limitations and knowledge of compensatory strategies.
• May be assigned job coaching duties; Trains the client on his/her assigned job duties, providing supervision and assistance until the client can perform tasks independently.
• Demonstrates ability to use tact, patience and courtesy with clients and community employers at all times.
• Lead and organize community trips following company procedure to facilitate client / resident training and knowledge as appropriate.
• Demonstrates ability to be able to solve problems independently as they arise during programming and in the client's work place setting with satisfactory results.
• Must be able to complete reports and maintains various records, schedules and files for the purpose of documenting and/or providing reliable information.
• Demonstrates ability to perform basic functions on Word and Excel.

• Ability to work weekends as needed
• Initiates assignments without hesitation and when completed seeks out additional job duties.
• Reads all staff memos, staff communication notes, resident case management notes, and physician notes and summaries.
• Works with supervisor to ensure a productive and cohesive team.
• Meets deadlines to ensure compliance with administrative requests.
• Maintain work space area by cleaning, disinfecting and reporting defective equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Minimum of H.S. degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Prefer 12 months experience working in a rehabilitation setting.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/TRAINING:
1. Must be certified in CPR/First Aid within 30 days of employment and renew every two (2) years.
2. Must be certified in SAMA within 30 days of employment and renew annually.
4. Must be a Certified Driver per Nexus Neurorecovery Center's policies and renew annually.
