These responsibilities encompass processing incoming calls for Bronson Methodist Hospital, Bronson Battle Creek Hospital and other Bronson entities, paging in-hospital personnel, physicians and orders for Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, executing code procedures for Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, processing changes to Smart Web on-call calendars for the Bronson system, and processing after hours calls for all Bronson practices system wide. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1-2 years related experience and/or training preferred. Previous computer/ call center experience preferred. 1-2 years of previous working knowledge of basic medical terminology * A typing test is required. * Excellent communication skills in a high-volume department, working with both the public and health care professionals. * Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in emergency or complicated situations where speed and accuracy matter and must have the ability to assure confidentiality of sensitive information. Lettinga campus. The coordinator serves as a liaison between the requestor and internal resources such as facilities, IT and catering, using relevant university policies. Arrangements are made with an eye to developing customer relationships from all interactions.
