POSITION SUMMARY
The Recreation Attendant (RA) assists the Recreation Lead in planning, organizing, executing, and leading recreation activities at the campground such as arts and crafts, games, sports, dramatics, music, social activities, hobbies, and themed weekends. SPECIFIC DUTIES
Help in preparations for events from start to finish.

Create supply lists and provide Recreation Lead as needed.
Take pictures of activities and obtain necessary photo release documentation for all individuals in photos.
In coordination with the marketing department, prepare fun and engaging social media posts.
Coordinate and prepare all food and beverage items, equipment, awards, and entertainment as needed for each event.
Maintain and clean recreation equipment and facilities.
Always keep recreation areas and facilities clean and free of debris.
Greet new arrivals to activities, introducing them to other participants, explaining rules, and encouraging their participation.
Explain the rules of activities and instruct participants at a variety of skill levels
Enforce safety rules to prevent injury.
Modify activities to suit the needs of specific groups, such as seniors or small children.
Administer basic first aid if needed and notify emergency medical personnel when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of assigned adult's condition. Reads individual files, reviews assessments, individualized objectives, and performance data to identify preferences, means of participation, method of problem-solving, and proficiency of adults in performing tasks.
Provides physical assistance to individuals served when exiting/entering the Community Hub/various community settings and to/from transportation if necessary. (This may include securing wheelchairs for transportation and/or physical transfer of individuals.)
Supports individuals at all community work sites and ensures contracted work is completed correctly and in the allotted time frames. This may include performing contract work to complete contracted assignments.
Supports individuals at all community volunteer sites and ensures agreed-upon work/task is completed correctly and in the allotted time frames. This may include performing volunteer work to assist individuals served in accomplishing tasks.
Assigns, sets up and trains individuals served in their daily job assignments. This includes reinforcing previously learned assignments, providing supervision, checking work for quality, and supplying individuals served with materials. Implements behavior management programs as directed. Responds to crises involving individuals served using non-violent crisis intervention techniques, as appropriate.
Provides direct supervision and positive interaction with adults during all personal care services.
Assists adults with any type of personal care as needed and as assigned.
Assists and encourages adults to actively engage in preparing snacks, setting up/cleaning up for meals, selecting and putting away materials, and completing related tasks to foster the development of daily living skills and personal responsibility.
Provides safe physical management of adults during emergency drills and/or crises.

Community Integration:

Behavioral and Support Ratios:

Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Two forms of identification for employment verification.
Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Completion of an 8-hour training program provided by Faith Walks LLC.
BCI required and FBI background check required if you have lived outside of Ohio for more than 5 years.
Must possess a caring and patient attitude and demonstrate a commitment to working with individuals with disabilities.
Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to lift, move, and assist individuals as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
Familiarity with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) guidelines and regulations is a plus.
