ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth in accordance with the person's individual support plan (ISP)
Responsible for the implementation of each resident's program plan including data collection
Reviews files for each resident on a regular basis
Assists in the development and monitoring of individual and group programs
Utilizes behavior modification techniques and other instructional strategies to enhance the progress of achieving goals and objectives
Communicates concerns related to program participant needs to supervisor in a timely manner
Acts as an appropriate role model
Assists individuals in attending social activities to further social skills

Responsible for daily routine(s) of residents and emergency medical procedures

Direct Support Professional staff provide assistance and supervise consumers in activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Responsible for adhering to and documenting an individual's program as directed by the Program Coordinator, or Department Manager. Such as program design/behavioral support and/or intervention plans.
Be able to fulfill any number of roles to fit the unique programming needs of each individual client while supporting at different stages of the client's life including but not limited to: at an afterschool program, at a college/university, at his or her part time job, and at a Day Program or Group Home setting.
Responsible for adherence to standards, procedures and schedules established by their supervisor.
Communicate information and/or issues that arise in a timely manner in accordance with company policy.
Attend and complete all initial and on-going training requirements.
Meet punctuality and attendance standards as outlined by the organization.
Document consumers' progress and communicate findings to program coordinator.
Prepare and submit behavioral and incident reports as necessary.
Be prepared to adequately manage and de-escalate behavioral outbursts including but not limited to physical and verbal aggression, property destruction, elopement, self-injurious behaviors, and self-stimulatory behaviors.

Certification Requirements
* Stage 1: All candidates are required to complete the 'Dog Training Instructor Program (DTIP)' to become Petco Certified Dog Trainer consisting of the following:
* Dog Training Apprentice: 6-weeks weeks of instructor led learning and development.
* Stage 2: Dog Trainer: Successfully run and grow the dog training business in one of Petco's Pet Care Centers with local and national marketing support, with access to internal partner resources, networking, and client acquisition through our state-of-the-art online booking and scheduling systems.
* Stage 3: Complete the Health & Wellness Certification Program for Dog.
* Note: Approved candidates with prior experience that can pass both skill and knowledge assessments may be eligible for accelerated training.
Basic Qualifications
* Passion for animal care, training, and welfare and a genuine interest for improving the lives of pets and their pet parents.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pet parents and provide clear instructions, demonstrations and applicable selling techniques.
* Demonstrated ability to handle and work with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds in a safe and humane manner.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed to accommodate the training schedule and store operations.
* Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) associated with dog training equipment and supplies.
* Familiarity with computer systems and software to manage training records, schedules, and communication with pet parents.

Direct support professional job in Santa Ynez, CA
Performs all activities at the Information Desk, including dispatching Valet Drivers and Traffic Officers, assisting guests in person with general questions and inquiries, answering two-way radio phones and phone calls routed to the information desk, data entry of all valet tickets, visitor check-ins, lost and found, coat checks, paging guest, casino announcements, and assisting with department staff as needed.
Responsibilities
Dispatches Valet Drivers to retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and accurate manner.
Inputs valet ticket information into the valet tracking system daily.
Continuously checks the Valet Monitor in the valet areas and informs Valet Supervisors of any areas needing attention.
Greets guests with a sincere and gracious welcome.
Provides for all their needs upon arrival and departure.
Provides fond farewells.
Provides information to guests in person regarding approximate wait time for their vehicle, resort amenities, promotions, events, directions, etc.
Receives incoming calls to the Information Desk; answers general questions and inquiries, or redirects phone calls accordingly, ensuring exceptional guest service is provided.
Receives all incoming calls from the self-parking and valet garage's call boxes and provides information or dispatches Traffic Officers or appropriate staff as needed.
Responds to two-way radio calls from Valet Supervisors and Traffic Officers and provides appropriate service as needed.
Coordinates coat check-ins and the handling of lost and found items.
Makes intercom announcements for bus departures and for paging guests as needed.
Responsible for issuing visitor badges and communicating with appropriate department personnel to meet with visitor(s).
Remains up to date with all resort information, including promotions, events, and other frequently requested information.

Qualifications

Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
