Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Program Coordinator assists with overseeing the provision of support for assigned participants. At all times, the Program Coordinator will seek to act in accord with the principles and values expressed and uphold the agency mission.
Day-to-Day

regarding how to empower personal choice and self determination
3. Monitor and track routine tasks;
Activity Calendars - Encourage participants to plan or select community activities on a regular
basis; Provide input and suggestions when needed
Cleaning Schedules - Help participants develop cleaning schedules for their homes; Develop
schedules for clients that are unable to participate; Monitor progress and inform Program
Supervisor of concerns; Assist with cleaning as needed
Agency Vehicles - Monitor and complete regularly scheduled maintenance; Compile and maintain
insurance, registration and licensing documents for each vehicle; Maintain first aid kits for each
vehicle; Notify Program Supervisor of any concerns related to vehicle safety, maintenance or
Grocery Shopping - Work with Lead DSP to monitor food supply and confirm necessary items are
purchased for the weekly menu
Adaptive or Safety Equipment - Monitor, track and review participant safety equipment; Record

* Must be able to pass criminal background check

Summary of Duties
It is the goal of the corps officer that the shelter be the extension of the services and care provided from The Salvation Army Centralia. The Shelter Supervisor would be the main contact person on all employee and volunteer concerns in the program and would respond appropriately. If there are any concerns or requests that cannot be handled, then it would need to be brought to the immediate attention of the Corps Officer.
Summary of Job Duties (Performing Nightly Shelter Duties as Needed)
* Staffing and scheduling requirements might require employee to work different shifts, as required. There are to be two standard shifts, first (opening shift) and second (closing shift). Each shift will be 6.5 hours in length with a 30-minute lunch bread that will be required to take each workday. Requirements for the safety, staff, and clients will be the same for each shift worked. There will be different responsibilities between opening and closing shifts.
* The employee will need to follow basic rules of operation as posted by The Salvation Army for both clients and staff. This includes but is not limited to admittance of clients into the program for the night, enforcement of what personal items can and cannot be included in their personal space, the issuing of bedding to each client upon their arrival, general cleaning and maintaining of building property.
* Performing the outlined tasks for either the opening or closing of the shelter operation for the night. This would be accomplished by completing the task sheet for a particular shift, for which has been assigned.
* Abide by The Salvation Army's Social Services Code of Ethics. This would include any appearance of conflict of interest with program participants and/or volunteers (see attached)
* Provide a warm, caring and courteous environment that encourages cooperation, respect and a feeling of community.
* Enter pertinent information of all activities and events into the shelter daily log during your assigned shift.
* Provide all program participants, staff, and volunteers with a safe and secure environment. This includes but is not limited to regular walk throughs of the shelter sleeping area, checking the bathrooms, monitoring the shower/hygiene area, and maintaining a presence in the client areas. Diffuse any conflicts as they arise and communication with other staff and the Corps Officer any findings or concerns.
* Distribute personal necessities to the clients as needed and as items are available.
* As time permits, launder excess blankets, towels and bedding as needed.
* Support volunteers who are assigned during your shifts by orienting them to the safety guidelines and responsibilities.
* Attend any and all meetings scheduled by the shelter supervisory for training, planning, and operations.
* Maintain strict client confidentiality keeping records secure and notifying the Shelter Supervisor of any issues/problems that they may need to be aware of during or after any given shift.
* Perform other tasks as necessary as assigned or requested by a supervisor.

About the Department
The OLS program is nationally recognized and committed to creating inclusive pathways to higher education for students with disabilities. Our faculty are passionate educators who believe in the potential of all learners to grow and succeed. Our students earn their associate degree in Occupational & Life Skills. Our goal is for students to gain competitive work skills and lead a fulfilled life after graduation.
We educate students with curriculum tailored to their learning needs and provide them with an abundance of opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom in real-life situations, culminating in a 250+ hour internship specific to their unique career goals. We have 16 students per class average for more personalized instruction. They take on average 8 credits per quarter (90 credits total) which is usually 10-14 class hours per week. When we work with students, we use the following student support strategies: Collaborative Problem Solving, Social Thinking, Executive Functioning Supports with dedicated coaches.
Essential Functions
* Meet at agreed times with students with various disabilities both in group and individually, on site to provide supports in the previously mentioned areas. Tasks include: Appointments are set up with students individually. There are also specific learning lab times where coaches are available on site during the week.
* Collects and maintains reliable data collection methods and systems as specified by supervisor. Tasks include: data is collected in an Excel Sheet and is updated after each student session
* Reports students concerns and needs to Instruction and Student Success Program Manager (ISSPM). Participates in the design of student's action plans as requested.
* Collaborates weekly with supervisor to support students and instructors effectively.
* Attends and participates in program meetings and events during the work day. Tasks include: attendance is required to two Brown Bag events per quarter and also I weekly meeting with ISSPM.
* Other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
* Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience as a Para Educator/Aid or executive functioning coaching experience

The DirectSupportProfessional (DSP) is a non-supervisory position with the primary function of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes, and in their communities throughout King County. The DirectSupportProfessional provides one-to-one support to the participants who are in the Supported Living program. The DSP will advocate on behalf of participants on multiple levels including.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Attend appointments with participants (medial, housing, ISPs).
Quarterly safety logs.
Assist participant in setting and meeting goals and meeting ISP objectives.
Assist participant with Housing reviews.
Assist participant in finding housing.
Complete required documentation and daily narratives.
Assist participants in managing their finances as directed by their Independent Financial Plan (IFP).
Assists participant with home supports (cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc.).
Assists participant with goals and approaches as directed by doctor/therapist.
Performs Delegated Medication administration as needed.
Assist participant with personal care tasks as needed.
Provide HR Director with documentation of their training and certifications as required by the state to maintain employment as a DSP.
Enter participant appointments in the appropriate area of Therap.
Strategize and Collaborate with Leads in meeting participant support needs.
Assist with Orientation of new staff by being an exemplary example and providing information relevant to participant supports to new staff who are shadowing.
