Driver Pipeline company history timeline

1971

James founded Driver Pipeline in 1971 and, under his leadership the Company has grown into a nationally recognized and respected service provider to the country’s best energy companies.

1977

Following his graduation in 1977, Brad took a summer job performing sandblasting and painting at Lone Star Gas, where he continued to serve in various capacities over the next 20 years.

1980

Chuck began his career working for Lone Star Gas in 1980.

He quickly transitioned to the roles of mechanic’s helper and welder’s helper before becoming a certified welder in 1980.

1981

Allen started working at Driver Pipeline in 1981, performing mechanical services and repairs on the company’s fleet of vehicles and equipment in the shop and in the field.

1984

Conard began his career in the aggregate business in 1984, serving multiple roles with Texas Industries, LaFarge, Pioneer, and Hanson.

1985

After graduating University of North Texas in 1985 with a BS in Management, he entered the family business, working full time in the corporate office.

1986

In 1986, Allen’s responsibilities were increased to supervising all of the work being performed in the mechanic shop as well as at all job sites.

1995

In 1995, he began his career with Diamond Shamrock, running operations and maintenance for over 1250 miles of pipelines and terminal facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, and Kansas.

1997

Chuck joined Driver Pipeline in 1997, initially as the superintendent over projects throughout North and Central Texas.

2005

In 2005, Buzz was promoted to Director of Construction for NuStar, and was responsible for Capital Projects construction throughout the United States, Scotland, Amsterdam, and the Caribbean Island of St Eustatius.

2009

Jeff joined Driver in 2009 as a lead safety coordinator, and having proved himself, moved up the ranks to Director of Safety.

2013

He joined Driver Pipeline in 2013 as Project Coordinator, performing that role for several years until transitioning to the position of Estimator.

2016

Brad joined the fabrication shop as a lead welder, and became the Fab Shop Fabrication Superintendent in 2016.

2017

In July of 2017, Russell moved back into Driver Pipeline to serve as President.

2018

Mike joined Driver Pipeline in 2018, as General Manager for HDD operations.

2019

In 2019, he joined Driver Pipeline as General Superintendent of the Gulf Coast Division.

He became Chief Estimator/Project Manager in 2019.

2020

Conard joined Driver Pipeline in February 2020, where he is responsible for planning, procurement, scheduling, and supervision of teams responsible for concrete paving, flowable fill, and pothole repair.

In early 2020, Vivian was appointed to her current role as the Vice President of Business Development and Special Projects of Driver Pipeline Company.
