Title: Maintenance Technician Starting Pay: Up to $32/hr depending on experience A Maintenance & Repair Technician responsible for the maintenance and repair of conveyor systems and machinery. Troubleshoot and repair conveyor components, including motors, gears, switches, and other electrical or mechanical parts. Required: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Perform fire suppression system selection, preparing preliminary designs, and creating performance specifications Perform fire suppression hydraulic calculations to support design and estimate construction costs and evaluate feasibility of construction Assists upper level management and staff as a technical expert. Requirements Knowledge of NYS Plumbing codes and NFPA. Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. Able to perform standard engineering analysis of existing and new plumbing and fire protection systems utilizing the latest codes and technologies to provide optimized designs. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively both written and verbally. Revit MEP proficiency preferred. Experience, Education and Certification BS in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology . 5-10 years of post-college experience. NYS PE License preferred. Applies mechanical engineering and mathematical principals. Contributes to more complex aspects of a project. Experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for schools, healthcare facilities and commercial projects is preferred. A valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required for this position. Work Environment Professional office environment but may require travel to New York state job sites 10% of the time. The job requires prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.
