In this vital role you will be responsible for representing Amgen's Rare Disease products to Primary Care/FP/GP/IM, Podiatry, and Orthopedic physicians and healthcare professionals, establishing Biotech/Infusion product sales, increasing referrals for appropriate patients to the Rheumatology and Nephrology specialties, and performing total territory account management. The Referral (SAM) will work strategically and collaboratively across the existing sales teams to uncover unmet needs in the uncontrolled gout patient population that exists outside of Rheumatology and Nephrology to enhance the current business in markets where we have significant presence of KRYSTEXXA advocates as well as highly efficient centers of excellence. The Referral (SAM) is also responsible for providing account management support to accounts within a specific geography in the PCP, Podiatry, and Orthopedic marketplace with a focus on issues specific to patient identification, disease state education, and referrals to local Rheumatologists and Nephrologist.
Collaborate with 2-3 Specialty Account Managers in the Rheumatology and Nephrology sales teams to identify appropriate referral patients in Podiatry, Primary Care, and Orthopedics near current KRYSTEXXA advocates and centers of excellence.
Develops a comprehensive and effective territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals established by commercial leadership.
Promote Disease State awareness and value of product to target customers.
Promote the identification of appropriate patient types for referral to treatment.
Regularly communicate progress with SAM/ASD.
Promotes KRYSTEXXA within approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner that is consistent with industry specific and corporate legal and regulatory guidelines.

The position will be responsible for prospecting and establishing business-to-business relationships with local sites of care (SOC) and for developing and driving account/partner business plans that deliver on agreed upon objectives with oversight of SOC strategy development, execution and measurement. Identifying gaps in existing SOC networks, developing plans to expand SOC options.
Pulling through national partnership contracts at the local level.

**General Responsibilities:**

+ Ability to analyze and identify trends in a complex buying environment. This includes the multiple channels of drug distribution, Oncology GPO's, wholesalers and specialty pharmacies. Review and evaluate patterns for products purchased and prescribed, outpatient vs in-patient infusion, as part of hospital contract, etc.
+ Demonstrate ability to understand complex account interdependencies in order to develop both short- and long-term account plans in conjunction with a wide array of stakeholders, proactively working with the account team and supervisor (known as the Customer Team Leader) to effectively execute the account plan. Share learnings and best-practices from one customer to help other customers meet their needs.
+ Influence beyond their specific geography or product area demonstrate advanced ability to ask strategic, insightful questions to obtain information on customer needs from all stakeholders in oncology accounts, using the insights to position our company Oncology brands and collaborate with customers on a customized strategy.

The USDMA is an experienced therapeutic area (TA) leader and subject matter expert (SME) with relevant medical affairs and field medical experience. This role is also responsible for driving execution of scientific and medical affairs plans for assigned Therapy Areas within their region, engaging with regional cross-functional teams, and providing US input to the relevant cross-functional team meetings, e.g., US MAT, PAT, MT and V&I Plans.
As a core member (or co-lead) of the US Medical Affairs Team (MAT), the USDMA collaborates with the Global Breast TA team and cross-functional partners to enable US regional implementation of Value & Implementation (V&I) Planning by: 1) Integrating local insights into Global Scientific Value Content (GSVC) and Center of Scientific Exchange Excellence (CSEE) plans 2) Facilitating local adoption of GSVC and CSEE initiatives 3) Leading development and execution of aligned local training programs 4) Evaluating training effectiveness and application in the field.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ In collaboration with USMA Executive Director (ED) and Health Systems PASL, conduct development and implementation of regional strategies aligned with headquarters V&I goals including defining a prioritized USMA Field strategy and implementation goals.
+ Contribute to the integrated US Country Medical Affairs Plan (CMAP), including the US Field Medical Plan (FMP)/Field Engagement Plan (FEP) and field training plan for assigned TA as a member of the USMA TA Leadership Team
+ Identifies and prioritizes US field resources, training needs and activities; and in collaboration with GMVC, ensures strategically aligned content and training and any other needed adult learning activities across the portfolio. This would also include the pull-through of pre- and post-congress regional training and content.
+ Develop a strategic and comprehensive scientific engagement plan and ensure scientific exchange aligns with the global scientific communications platform.
+ Ensure insights from advisory boards and field medical activities are actioned with relevant stakeholders, aligned with Country Medical Affairs priorities, and monitored for trends impacting future strategy.
+ In collaboration with relevant USMA stakeholders (e.g. HS PASL), organize expert input events (e.g., advisory boards, forums) with contracted Scientific Leaders and key stakeholders to address new indication implementation and/or emerging science.
+ Manage programs (i.e. patient support, education, risk management) as needed for appropriate and safe utilization of company medicines.
+ Partner with GSVC, CSEE, US Global Clinical Trial Organization (GCTO), Global Medical and Scientific Affairs (GMSA) TA leads, and internal/external SMEs to orchestrate and deliver regional training as needed.
+ Participate in bi-directional information exchange and sharing of best practices across USMA roles and teams, including Health Systems.
+ Collaborate with the USMA Field Medical Alignment Director (FMAD) to ensure consistent standards, processes, and harmonization for training activities (e.g., clinical immersions, verbalizations, journal clubs).

The Senior Ultrasound Clinical Account Specialist (ULS CAS) is accountable to provide technical and clinical product support to health care providers including Electrophysiology (EP) physicians, Interventional Cardiologists (IC) and laboratory staff for electrophysiology diagnostic and therapeutic catheters and systems - with an emphasis on the AcuNav and SOUNDSTAR catheters - to enable practitioners to perform advanced cardiac ablation and interventional procedures respectively.
The CAS is responsible to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with physicians & EP laboratory staff in order to identify and foster interest in new products or product indications to grow and develop the company's product and technology utilization. As the Senior Ultrasound Clinical Account Specialist, you will:
+ Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to EP/IC physicians and staff on the effective use of AcuNav and SOUNDSTAR catheters in EP and IC procedures.
+ Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP Lab Staff on the effective use of electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment (e.g., The CARTO System and appropriate software modules including CARTOSOUND , CARTOMERGE and the Stockert RF generator) during case procedures within an assigned geography, and in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals.
+ Educate customers on all electrophysiology products to optimize effective usage by providing technical and clinical information and in-service training. Shares best practices to increase value for customers.
+ Use consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities within the account.
+ Create awareness of electrophysiology solutions and facilitates Territory Sales Manager (TM) contact with the key decision makers to drive incremental business.

The Associate Clinical Account Specialist (ACAS) position is a 6-9 month training position for those with little to no electrophysiology (EP) experience. Upon successful graduation from the program, the ACAS will be promoted to a Clinical Account Specialist (CAS). As a CAS the candidate will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP lab staff on the effective use of BWI's systems and catheter equipment (e.g., The CARTO System, associated software modules and RF generator) during case procedures within an assigned geography. The Vaccine Customer Representative (VCR) is the primary point of contact for a variety of customers within their assigned geography. **U.S. Hybrid Work Model**
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The salary range for this role is
$106,200.00 - $167,200.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
