Position Responsibilities may include: Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill persons Function within the scope of medical care as defined protocol and state, regional, and local regulatory agencies Follow medical protocols and Company procedures Prepare documentation and reports accurately and timely and maintain records (Injury treatment documentation, Employee Files, Incident Investigation Files, etc.) Train first responders as needed and provide support and guidance to first responders Coordinate and run audiometric testing requirements Ensure regulatory compliance Assist with H&S compliance audits Assist with incident investigations and required documentation Assist with post-incident case management May perform post-accident or reasonable cause drug and alcohol testing as needed Assists the Worker's Compensation Administrator as required Maintain confidential information Continue to expand knowledge base of basic medical/legal principles Ensure personal well-being Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs Nature & Scope: Liaison to the Medical Director Works under general supervision Knowledge & Skills: Strong knowledge of fundamental medical treatment concepts, practices and procedures as well as compliance requirements Positive, professional attitude, handling difficult customers with ability to diffuse negative situations Working knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and database applications Proficient documentation skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Effective organizational and time management skills Effective verbal and written communication skills and effective listening skills Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers Ability to effectively train/educate others Professionalism: patience, poise and tact Ability to apply good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job Ability to work flexible hours as needed Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the job Experience: 2-5 years of experience as an EMT Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED required State EMT Certification required People Management: No Physical Requirements / Work Environment: The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
