The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. As a vital member, you learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. **Responsibilities**
+ Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
+ Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
+ Install batteries and check electrical systems.
+ Perform tire maintenance.
+ Install parts.
+ Road test vehicles.
+ Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail. Technicians receive bonus for each test passed)
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
+ Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
+ Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including:

+ Repairing tires
+ Reading, writing, and math skills.

POSITION SCOPE

Must have a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record. Must have Lead Renovator Certificate or acquire one at the next lead certification class.

Deliver exceptional service, ensuring timely and high-quality onsite and in-shop environment repair services for all assigned work orders.
Inspect equipment as a whole to obtain accurate diagnosis and effective solutions to the problem.
Appropriate handling of all tools and equipment to ensure safety.
Assist other technicians as needed.
Maintain accurate daily documentation of performed work and progress.
Preserve a safe, clean, and organized workspace environment.
Perform preventative maintenance on client and rental fleet equipment.
Provide friendly, professional, and informative interaction with clients, and address concerns and issues promptly and effectively.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications
Mechanical skills encompassing small engine, diesel, electrical and hydraulic systems, diagnostics and repairs, etc.
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively.
Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending, and sitting.
Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in person and via documentation.
Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively.
**Mechanic certification not required, but a minimum of 2-5 years' experience preferred**

This position is responsible for the repair of machinery and equipment, component assemblies, and parts in the shop, including testing, diagnosing, evaluating, troubleshooting, parts ordering, technical report writing, warranty reporting, maintaining care of company assets, and proper communication with others.
**Your Impact**
+ Repairs equipment and components, including: Development of a repair plan and sequence, Determining necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc. and performing repairs properly and safely, with proper quality assurance testing of repair component or system and machine in a timely and efficient manner.
+ Generates, maintains and completes all necessary reports legibly and in a timely fashion for parts ordering, special tooling usage, daily service reports, and work order closure.
+ Use and understand proper test equipment to troubleshoot repairs, blueprints, technical data and service manuals.
+ Retrieves and returns parts and/or materials through Company's parts ordering system.
+ Uses Company's computer systems to manage work processes.
+ Retrieves and returns special tools as needed. Maintains proper care and use of special tools including major shop equipment, such as but not limited to, air compressor, cleaning tanks, overhead and jib cranes, etc.
+ Projects positive behaviors by interacting with co-workers, customers, vendors, suppliers and visitors through constructive working relationships.
**Your Experience and Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
+ 3 plus years' experience in similar position.
+ Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs to agriculture, construction, off-road or heavy equipment or other similar equipment.
+ Experience using test equipment and tools to analyze, evaluate, locate and repair problems.
+ Experience with computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs.
