Job Description Receives, counts, and distributes clean linen throughout the hospital as needed in support of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's mission, vision, and values. Experience * 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications * High School diploma or equivalent preferred * Experience in housekeeping or linen services within a healthcare setting Education * No education required Certification Summary * No professional certifications required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to pull and push heavy loads * Ability to count and record inventory * Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, stoop and reach for various items * Ability to operate laundry equipment, carts, and storage and dispensing mechanisms Job Responsibilities * Perform physical inventory of linen using hand-held device. * Recording data (item counts) in hand-held device so it may be entered into inventory system. * Neatly placing clean linen on carts/shelves. * Interacts with customers to ensure linen is delivered in appropriate time frame and is accurate. * Responsible for responding to units requesting additional linen when the supply on their cart has been depleted. * Responsible for daily delivery and pick-up of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit requiring a cart in the facility. * Accurately counts all remaining linen in exchange carts that are being returned to the clean linen room after retrieval from units. * Deliveries/pick-ups must be completed according to established timetables/8-hour shifts. * Maintain cleanliness of clean linen storeroom. * Consolidate partially full carts, remove all empty carts and place in hall. * Coordinates with staff and drivers the proper staging of carts being delivered. * Ensuring appropriate carts are returned to laundry as well as delivered to the facility. * Adhere to all regulatory, safety and compliance standards.
