We are currently seeking general Operators and Assemblers to join our busy St. Clair Shores, Michigan production team. Candidates should be comfortable working in manufacturing environment and available for overtime and weekends as required. RESPONSIBILITIES: ASSEMBLY OPERATORS Assembly Operations: Perform assembly tasks such as fitting, fastening, and installing parts and components according to work instructions. Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete tasks efficiently. Assemble automotive parts, sub-assemblies, in a timely manner to meet production targets. Quality Assurance: Inspect parts and components for defects or damage before and after assembly. Ensure that all assembled products meet quality standards and specifications. Report any quality issues or defects to the Line Leader or Supervisor immediately. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Perform basic housekeeping to keep area clean and safe. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Line Leader or Supervisor. Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating. Report any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to the maintenance team or Supervisor. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth production flow. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or concerns. Process Improvement: Suggest improvements to assembly processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing or 5S programs. Documentation: Complete production logs and reports accurately and on time. Record any issues, defects, or downtime encountered during the shift. WELDING OPERATORS Robotic Welding Machine Operation: Operate robotic welding systems to perform welding tasks, such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), spot welding, or laser welding, on automotive parts and components. Monitor robotic welding processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to standards. Quality Assurance: Inspect welded joints and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and correct defects, such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion, in welded parts. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve any welding-related quality issues. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Perform basic housekeeping to keep area clean and safe. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), such as welding helmets, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Line Leader or Supervisor. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on robotic welding systems, such as cleaning, replacing consumables (e.g., welding wire, nozzles), and checking for wear and tears. Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with robotic welding equipment. Report major equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to the maintenance team or Supervisor. Material Preparation: Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of parts before welding. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth production flow. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or concerns. Documentation: Complete production logs and welding reports accurately and on time. Record any issues, defects, or downtime encountered during the shift.
