Job Description
The Field Engineer is committed to supporting the client by providing engineering activity support to the Construction Management team throughout the lifecycle of the Project.
Compensation: $90,000 to $105,000 DOE plus 401k, Benefits
LOCATION This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides construction site engineering resources and expertise during the construction phase of the Project.
2. Plan and recommend civil procedures to be implemented by Field Supervision to ensure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications.
3. Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
4. Ensure all copies of specifications and construction drawings are latest issue and distributes as required to the Superintendent(s).
5. Works with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout on the project site, ensuring appropriate utility and commercial lines are marked before production begins.
6. Prepare RFP for important packages of work (precast, piles, concrete) in coordination with construction managers.
7. Coordinate field works performed by subcontractors (sweeping, geotechnical campaign, orientations, coordination with H&S).
8. Attend meetings with potential suppliers in coordination with procurement department.
9. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Summary:
