The Manager Design Electrical and Instrument & Controls Engineering position is based out of our Quad Cities Generating Station in Cordova, IL.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide management of the engineering function of accountability.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide management of the engineering function with respect to station needs and regulatory requirements
Manage the performance and development of assigned engineering personnel relative to site and corporate objectives and provide focus on the attainment of high-quality engineering results
Directly and through subordinates, fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations.
Participate in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding assigned staff.
Participate as senior resource to NGG-wide programs and initiatives regarding standardized and enhanced engineering systems and processes.
All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or nuclear) OR related science OR License Professional Engineer OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, which shall include 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

**Qualifications:**
**Basic qualifications**

- Minimum of 3 years of experience of functional management experience
- Minimum of 5 years of technical leadership roles on modeling and simulation projects.

Primary Function:
This position is for a Modeling and Simulation Manager role supporting research and new product development in Eaton's Aerospace Mission Systems Division (MSD). What you'll do:
* Provide technical oversight of M&S_SE team which includes review of analysis plans, participation in internal team technical reviews, and responsibility for the technical quality/completeness of work products delivered by the team.
* Build proactive communication paths with the product teams to ensure that analysis goes beyond traditional customer deliverables and is fully leveraged for risk mitigation, test plan development, and critical design decisions.
* Conduct functional management responsibilities associated with the team that include resource management, career development, performance reviews, and management of goals that align with higher level business objectives and initiatives.
* Develop standard work practices and lessons learned with the team and leverage other AEROSPACE M&S groups and leadership as appropriate.

Qualifications:
Basic qualifications

The salary for this position ranges from $88,871 to $142,194 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.

Paid Time Off - All full-time employees will receive, at minimum, 17 days (that's 3+ weeks!) of paid time off in the first year alone.
Paid Holidays - MSA offers time off pay for 8 holidays in every calendar year.
Paid Parental Leave - Both parents will receive 2 weeks of paid time off and birth parents are eligible for additional paid time off under MSA's Short Term Paid Leave. The paid 2 weeks of time also applies to adoption and foster care placement.

Short Term Incentive (STIP) - This program rewards employees who meet performance goals with a one-time annual STIP payment as a percentage of their eligible compensation - recognition of individual accomplishments and achieving organizational goals. STIP payments are awarded if MSA reaches its corporate financial plan for the year.
