Lead new data center product designs, integrating new technological advancements and requirements while balancing business priorities around cost, efficiency, time to delivery and sustainability. 2. Responsible for data center product controls systems strategies, design, specifications, programming, simulation and support of new product delivery. 3. Work closely with Sustainability, CSLA, Electrical, Connectivity, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to achieve holistic new product design that is optimized for cost, construction speed, operational efficiency, and long-term fungibility/flexibility. 4. Develop and collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on prefabricated manufactured solutions (MOFE) and component offerings to be embedded into our new design products. 5. Balance short-term priorities while understanding and tracking industry standards and emerging trends to drive long-term strategy. This includes performing research and developing analysis on new technologies, alternate materials, building models of cost and environmental impact, implementing pilots of new approaches, and presenting recommendations. 6. Partner with our Site Selection team on assigned site due diligence and master planning projects. 7. Work with design engineers and field teams on new design types so they can correctly apply them to specific projects. 8. Lead and oversee change management of applicable systems and drive towards resolution. 9. Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams outside of Engineering across different disciplines to assess and vet design solutions. 10. Drive design and path to breakground program schedules while working closely with design and construction to ensure milestones and completion dates are on track. 11. Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports to provide feedback and assist in addressing concerns and removing roadblocks. 12. Help develop and guide career path plans for direct reports. 13. Align priorities of technical pillar leads and hold responsibility for project prioritization based on agreed upon framework. 14. Manage team goals and track their status as well as updates to them based upon business pivots and emerging needs. 15. Able to travel up to 25% of the time. **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 16. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent industry experience 17. Minimum fifteen (15) years of engineering, design and/or R&D experience for mission critical system applications. This includes concept formulation, detailed design, modeling/simulation, prototyping, verification/validation testing and installation/commissioning prior to commercial operation 18. Cross-disciplinary design, development and operations knowledge of data center or similar mission critical industry technical systems to include building, electrical, mechanical, controls, building automation and connectivity systems as well as data center server and network system architecture and technologies 19. Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills 20. Effective communication skills both north to leadership, east-west to peers and various stakeholders, and south to support engineers 21. Previous experience with managing large projects and project teams 22. Project Management: Coordinating multiple consultant and contractor teams 23. Experience with new builds, retrofits, and operational facilities 24. Troubleshooting and analytical skills and experience providing solutions to complex projects under pressure **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 25.
