Utilizes the application of extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering practices to plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate development of the engineering work for all design, modification, and/or construction of natural gas transmission pipelines, distribution systems, and related appurtenances. Responsible for preparation, evaluation and approval of engineering drawings, details, construction specifications, contract and bid documents, and contractor procurement, including selection and coordination with consulting engineers and vendors. Meets with general public and/or developers, landowners, interest groups, and regulatory bodies concerning zoning, expansion projects, and engineering regulations, etc. Accountable for the successful implementation and completion of engineering objectives in construction projects by managing project issues, budgets and schedules requiring numerous interactions with consulting firms, construction contractors, government officials, and other departments within the Company. Responsible for project status reports to Summit management team. Performs occasional field work to perform construction inspection for compliance with company standards. Work closely with construction, procurement, outside consultants, and contractors to define the detailed project scope of work; and the goals and deliverables that support the company's business objectives. Ensure the proper planning of all capital and maintenance construction projects. Support overall project performance (quality, scope, schedule, cost, communication, resource issues & risks).
