The Outdoor School program runs from January 19 to March 27, 2026, which includes a paid training and preparation week and the day after program conclusion. Room and board are included for Outdoor School staff. Weekend housing is available. Meals are available when camp is in operation. Job Description: Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC company, has an immediate opening for a Project Environmental Scientist/Engineer/Geologist to assist in the management and growth of our environmental practice in Irvine, California. The candidate will be responsible for conducting and managing Phase I and Phase II environmental investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, project scheduling, staff mentoring, budget control, and meeting and interacting with clients and regulatory agencies, including familiarity working with the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Toxic and Substances Control, the Regional Water Quality Control Board and the local Environmental Health agencies. The candidate will also coordinate and participate in and oversee staff field activities, including logging of borings, trenches and cores; evaluating geologic and hydrogeological conditions; sampling soil, soil gas, and groundwater; and will prepare environmental proposals and reports. Duties of the Project Geologist/Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists, and field technicians. Education: B.S. Degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field and appropriate related professional registration/certification (e.g., California Professional Geologist or Civil Engineer) preferred. An advance degree is a plus.
