Job Title: Event Coordinator Department: Conference and Event Services Category: Full-Time Summary/Objective: The Event Coordinator will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, workshops, and camps at Lees-McRae College. This individual will ensure the successful delivery of events, serve as the venue contact when needed, and cultivate strong relationships with clients while promoting a positive college atmosphere. * Issue invoices, collect payments promptly, and create comprehensive financial reports.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with scheduling software is preferred.

Position Summary
The Event Coordinator serves in a critical support function for the Development Team, responsible for the planning and logistics for a number of donor and supporter events. Uphold fundraising best practices by collecting and regularly updating Salesforce with relevant information.
Work with supervisor and relationship managers to ensure all events are planned and prepared well in advance; regularly update a shared planning resource to provide visibility into event operations.
Program Promotion & Participation
Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Team to ensure all externally-facing materials are reviewed and approved prior to use and generally in-line with organizational brand standards.
Create visually appealing and engaging exhibit booths, communications, and activities for donors and supporters.
Represent the organization at meetings or events, as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
3+ years of event planning experience, especially for large-scale events reaching hundreds of participants.
Demonstrated success in marketing strategies related to donor-focused activities (especially corporations).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially as it relates to presenting to large groups.
Detail oriented and organized with ability to simplify complex logistics.

* Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
* Greets guests in a friendly, courteous manner and arranges for seating; monitors room atmosphere.
* Provides information on all aspects of Hard Rock Bristol services and facilities to guests.
* Quotes accurate waiting times and handles guest waiting lists or reservations in accordance with established procedures.
* In front-of-house areas, greets guests in a friendly, courteous manner and answers inquiries before completing requests, ensuring guest satisfaction.
* May provide clean china, silverware and glassware upon request from customers.
* May sets up tables with dishes, linen, flatware, etc.
* Attends to customer's needs/requests, i.e., refilling beverages, condiments.
* Assists wait staff with tray service as needed.
* Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow up as assigned.
* Perform work regularly and predictably.
* Other duties as assigned.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Attend seminars when needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or through related cashier or host experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):
* Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
* Must successfully pass background check.
* Must successfully pass drug screening.
* Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
ABILITY TO:
* Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
* Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
* Ability to restock needed materials and retrieve dropped items.
