Served as the chief of staff for the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the United States Department of Labor, and later as a staff attorney in the Office of the Counsel to the President at the White House. Active on several non-profit and philanthropic boards, including Thread, an innovative organization that engages under-performing high school students confronting significant barriers outside the classroom by providing each one with a family of committed volunteers and increased access to community resources.
