MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students' academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
Providing daily supervision and mentorship
Managing household routines and student schedules
Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
Upon hire, Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes and follow a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. On weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Flex Houseparents eventually transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same group of students in their own student home.

Job Description:
The Lifestyle Enrichment Professional (LEP) is responsible for maintaining a home-like environment and providing a positive experience to include ADL care, engaging activities, light housekeeping, and meal service for our Guests while they are at the center. The LEP will follow a plan of care for each Guest to ensure the optimal level of independence and well-being. The LEP is responsible for documenting activity participation and ADL care provided in the system software.
Essential Functions:
Attend to the daily needs of our Guests on an individual basis as well as foster increased independence and self-determination.
Assist with organizing and planning of recreational activities with focus on person centered care.
Assist with gathering supplies and resources to deliver recreational pursuits.
Lead and facilitate engaging programs that enhance quality of life.
Communicate and approach activities to Guests with motivation and enthusiasm.

Adapt and modify activities in efforts to better serve each individual.
Complete record of participation following each activity.
Ensure toileting, feeding and bathing needs are met, as required by specific Guests. Document records of ADL care after point of service.
Ensure Guest safety at all times.
Provide ongoing support, guidance, role modeling and supervision to Guests.
Provide a supportive environment to allow access and resources for self-directed pursuits.
Maintain knowledge of on-going program issues and developments as well as informing supervisor of program issues and concerns.
Assist with facilitation and delivery of meal service.
Complete housekeeping tasks as assigned to include, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning restroom facilities, laundry, vacuuming, etc.
Communicate in a professional manner.
Perform duties consistent with program and company policies and procedures.
Utilize universal/standard precautions to reflect safety standards.
Ensure a clean, safe, and home-like environment for Guests.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Active certified nursing assistant certificate (C.N.A.) preferred but not required
Experience in activities
Direct care experience working with geriatric and/or adults diagnosed with Dementia or Intellectual Disabilities preferred

Willingness to undergo criminal background check and ability to pass a drug screen

The Drop In Childcare Attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe, caring, and positive experience for all children in the drop in center and their families. They will be an active collaborator with other DORS staff, providing the DORS team with data on attendance, CCDF applications, etc. The attendant monitors the safety and well-being of children while in their care, while facilitating learning opportunities for the students. The attendance is responsible for communicating with parents/guardians about drop in childcare center events, activities, policies and procedures.
HOURS: This is a PRN (as needed) position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create an environment conducive to learning for child(ren) in attendance, plan and facilitate hands on activities daily.
Be adaptable to the work environment in order to meet the needs of the children; maintain effectiveness when changes in the workplace occur.
Engage as an active collaborative team member with DORS staff.

Use conflict resolution to resolve issues proactively and in a productive manner.
