ViaPath is looking for a Telecommunications Site Technician 4 (Site Administration Technician 4) to join our Field Services team. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager but working largely independently without and/or with limited direct supervision, provide remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability services. Potentially administer kiosk collection/service activities with customers located geographically throughout an assigned territory. This position will be based at the client site in Hartsville, TN with travel to additional sites as needed. Responsibilities Serve as a positive Ambassador representative for ViaPath when meeting with customers and clients - clearly demonstrating “Service Excellence” Responsible for overall service of ViaPath products at assigned customer sites and willing to assist the customer at all times Prioritizing and planning of assigned service calls Communicating updates associated with assigned service calls Escalating problems when appropriate Interacting in a professional manner with customers to foster positive relationships Point of contact for FACILITY staff for any issues regarding customer account Replacing telephony hardware and network components, basic maintenance practices Pulling cable, mounting network devices, installing telephony hardware Administer kiosk service and collections, clearing bill/paper jams, and deposit monies at assigned financial institutions Basic troubleshooting to include defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions; assisting Technical Support departments with corrective action on deployed hardware and software; developing working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures Wiring troubleshooting to include tracing and repairing or replacing damaged wiring and effecting repairs on 66-Blocks or Cutoff Switches Handle special projects as assigned by Field Service Manager Scheduled and/or unscheduled overtime work and callouts are to be expected Energize and foster an effective and impactful team environment Troubleshoot video visitation session issues with guidance from ViaPath Technical Support where applicable Perform basic troubleshooting of tablet functionality, applications, and Wi-Fi connectivity issues where applicable Return damaged or inoperable equipment in accordance with ViaPath Return Merchandise Authorization process Qualifications A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required 4+ years' experience involving technology troubleshooting, repairs and/or other relevant technical experience. Experience troubleshooting, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to use wiring and cabling diagnostic tools such as but not limited to Link Runners, Fluke Test Equipment, Wi-Fi Hounds, etc. Proven proficiency in Windows OS, MS Office, and other software programs that may be required Proven proficiency with telephony and networking, inclusive of copper, CAT 5/6, and fiber optic wiring Experience of wiring color code and fabrication of data cabling Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance Must possess a valid driver's license. What You'll Do: The role involves conducting comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty tractors and equipment, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and safety. This technician operates a service truck, performing on-site inspections-often in challenging weather conditions-and is responsible for the upkeep of the truck itself. Duties include diagnosing and addressing vehicle breakdowns, replacing and adjusting worn or damaged components, and verifying repairs through test drives. Additionally, the technician handles tire services, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, maintains meticulous vehicle records, and manages costs effectively by utilizing warranties and evaluating service options. Job Duties: Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections, oil changes, chassis lubrication while identifying worn and damaged parts, installing component and part upgrades on light, medium, and heavy-duty tractors and other equipment. Performs inspections at customers location with a service truck which could include inclement weather at times. Maintains the service truck to standard including cleanliness and resupply. Performs service calls dispatching to provide diagnosis and repairs related to vehicle breakdowns. Corrects vehicle deficiencies identified by repairing, replacing, adjusting, disassembling and assembling, components in all major equipment system areas. Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems. Performs tire replacements, rotations, mounting and dismounting on and off of vehicles as needed. Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs. Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options. Required Skills and Qualifications: High School Diploma or its equivalent required. Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred. Experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Class B license. Fleet and mobile maintenance experience a plus. Ability to understand and adhere to company policies in all areas. Must have a basic set of hand tools up to 1 ½”and ½ drive pneumatics. Technical understanding with attention to detail. Strong verbal communication and documentation skills. Capable of maintaining accurate inventory control. Ability to implement a strong safety environment at all times. Ability to work alone with little or no direction at times. REQUIREMENTS: We seek flexible team members who have a minimum of three years work experience after graduating high school, with two years industrial experience preferred. A high school diploma/ equivalent is required. Must be willing to work rotating shifts on a weekly basis and available for work any day of the year including weekends and holidays. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: As the technician moves through the Logan Star Point roles, will act as Team Leader, document appropriate information, facilitate Team meetings. As an experienced OT, will be able to evaluate ones own as well as Team performance, being accountable to initiate or raise the question of the need to continuously improve and to drive the Team to a state of “resilience”. When serving as Team Personnel Rep, will manage the Team's manpower, appraisal process, Pay for Progression points and training guidelines; monitor time sheet accuracy; act as a call-in contact; and coordinate the Team's hiring process. As Team Performance/Quality Rep, will manage dispositioned metal flow; monitor Hold Ticket and Data input accuracy; attend quality meetings; oversee on-shift dispositions; attend customer/supplier meetings; and support Level 1 audit control plan. When serving as Team Production Rep, will track and relay production information; interface with Production Planning; and control Team spending to budget. When serving as Team Safety Rep, will audit; produce incident reports; monitor housekeeping; participate in Environmental and Housekeeping walk-thrus; attend scheduled meetings; track safety-related equipment repairs; manage annual training and documentation; and manage new hire orientation. As Administrative Rep, the OT will produce Team monthly reports; oversee production reporting; and manage process control. Will operate all production machinery and mobile equipment. OT may also be expected to draft maintenance work orders, make suggestions to Maintenance planners and lead operator roles during outages. Will rotate shifts as required by Team, unit and/or Company policies and procedures. May be responsible for the handling, inspection, packaging, shipping and transportation of hazardous waste and for compliance to applicable regulatory requirements. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Excellent communication skills and effective problem solving skills required. Customer/supplier thought process preferred.
