Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket. You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services. Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets. You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls. You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal. Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls. You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service. Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

    Field technician job in Scarborough, ME

    Milton CAT is seeking a highly driven person for our Paving Technical Communicator to work in our Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont region. This candidate will work within the Service Organization to support earthmoving equipment product line. Will act as liaison between CAT, Weiler and Milton CAT. Maintain high standards of customer service by providing technical support to technicians, managers, and supervisors. Note: We are recruiting for one open position and have advertised this position in multiple cities within our territory. Responsibilities Technical Support & Communication * Assist service departments in ME, NH, and VT with timely and accurate repairs on CAT and Weiler paving equipment. * Act as a liaison between Milton CAT and Caterpillar (CAT) to facilitate the flow of technical information. * Provide backup coverage for Technical Communicators in other regions. Training & Product Introduction * Present New Product Introductions (NPIs) for machines within the specialist group. * Conduct training sessions as required to technicians on paving product. Shop and Field Support * Help technicians diagnose equipment issues. * Maintain ongoing communication with technicians regarding product issues and updates. * Maintain communication with Shop and Field Management. Paving Product Focus * Serve as the Technical Communicator for paving products in ME, NH, VT. * Support growth in parts and service for paving products. * Assist existing Product Support Consultants with paving product opportunities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. * Minimum of 5 years working with Earthmoving equipment in roles such as mechanic, Technical Communicator, or Trainer. * Prefer high level of experience with paving industry in general. * High level of Product Knowledge and Familiarity with the CAT product line. * Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent -interpersonal skills. * Ability to communicate effectively across various personnel levels. * Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude. Proficiency with CAT tools such as SIS (Service Information System) and ET (Electronic Technician). * High level of Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. * Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Job Description This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position, you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. Job Details: This is a 1099/per call position Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed. Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered. Call volume is variable but is usually 2-4 calls per day You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you. You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day. You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day. You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day. The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you. You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial) You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.
