During times the Server is operating without a food runner, ensure that the food and beverage selections are presented in accordance with kitchen and bar standards before you bring the items to the guests. But when operating with a Runner, ensure food and beverage are correct when placed on the table. Regularly return to the table to check on guests in accordance with the Steps of Service. Read the table and act accordingly: is it a meeting and guests don't want to be interrupted? Is someone not eating an item? Respond accordingly. Assist bartenders or other servers as needed.
