ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The FoodServices Cook will work under general supervision of a FoodServices Manager or the Juvenile Detention Supervisor or Juvenile Detention Center Assistant Superintendent. The role will provide food preparation and inventory services through the following:
* Preparing and cooking meals according to set menus and dietary requirements.
* Distributing appropriate portions of food onto serving plates or into individual containers and load food on carts for delivery.
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness by keeping clean and sanitized equipment, utensils, and clean kitchen and dining areas,
* Ensuring proper storage and labeling of food items.
* Assisting with inventory checks (food, cleaning supplies and equipment) and restocking as needed.

Job Duties
Drive a delivery truck to and from residential homes in all weather conditions
Load and unload food carts and deliver to homes safely and accurately
Push carts into homes and connect them to re-therm units
Ensure proper placement of hot and cold items in carts prior to delivery
Wash dishes, lids, and trays according to Back of House (BOH) standards
Assemble/disassemble the dishwasher and clean foodservice equipment
Set up trays with condiments and prepare supplemental food orders
Ensure food is served at appropriate temperatures
Clean and sanitize food carts, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
Maintain cleanliness of foodservice areas including scrubbing floors and tables
Schedule:

FoodService Associates must report to the Store Manager and Deli Manager for assistance and guidance.
Store Operations:
Forecast, order, stock and merchandise product
Stock refrigerator units with drinks and perishable goods
Ensure prompt reconciliation of store operations paperwork
Keep work area neat, clean, and organized
Clean front/face and restock shelving, displays, and coolers as needed. Clean deli area, equipment, and stock as needed
Keep coolers and cooler doors clean
Assist the Deli Manager with deli operations
Follow instructions that are given to you by the Deli Manager and Store Manager
Cook food that lives up the Duck Thru Food Store standards
Keep food warmer stocked at all times
Customer Service:
Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous customer service
Greet and thank all customers in a timely and professional manner
Suggest possible purchases to the customer and promote deli specials
Dress in a manner that is consistent with the Duck Thru Food Store policies
Job Specifications:
