Specific Skills and Responsibilities Cook and follow menu for meal prep Follow health, hygiene and safety procedures in the kitchen Receive weekly deliveries, store, label and date items in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage areas Wash dishes and utensils operating dishwasher Wash pots and pans using 3 compartment sinks Clean and sanitize equipment on daily, weekly, and monthly schedule Sweep and mop kitchen floors daily and as needed Sweep and mop dining room daily and as needed Clean spills as they occur Deliver food to designated areas Move heavy objects and equipment Keep food and supply storage areas clean and organized General and heavy cleaning of the kitchen Performs all other duties as requested by the Dietary Manager Qualifications: Must be able to communicate with other Dietary Cooks Must have 1-5 years experience cooking in a kitchen, industrial facility preferred Must maintain a current and valid drivers license to drive for Holy Angels Education: GED or High School Diploma Required ServSafe Certification a plus Required Checks: Drug Screen Criminal Background Check Drivers License Check Work Environment: Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities Physical Demands: Walk, stand, sit, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, use hands and lift up to 50lbs, 2/3s of the time Climb ladders

Responsible for delivering and setting up all food and beverage service. Assists in the preparation of food service supplies, reviews orders for proper presentation and completeness prior to delivery and service. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ensures that all food items requested and necessary supplies are obtained and delivered in a timely manner. Coordinates the delivery schedules of amenities, and food and beverage orders to best accommodate the guests. Provides direction and support to bus persons. Facilitates the immediate accommodations of guest requests. Follows all applicable safety precautions applicable to food service areas. Treats guest with courtesy and respect. Ensures that all items are presented in accordance with department guidelines. Clocks guest check in and out. Closes guest checks upon delivery. Serve beverages to guests upon delivery. Performs side work to include, but not limited to filling sugar bowls, salt/pepper shakers, folding napkins, and general organization of storage areas. Complete service preparation functions as required. Ability to maintain a clean work environment. Knowledgeable with upcoming events and related hospitality functions, bars and deliveries. Ability to work at a fast pace in a diverse environment. Ability to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge of room service standards. Assists with special events as needed. Requirements GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age. Two (2) years of food service experience. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle a 27-inch oval food server's tray, ranging in weight from 20 to 35 pounds. Ability to move throughout the kitchen continuously during their shift. Ability to push and/or pull 40 to 50 pounds on wheels. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner. Must present a professional and pleasant appearance that guests will find appealing and approachable in order to engage in conversation. Ability to familiarize with wine and spirits menu, service, and knowledge. Ability to follow directions. DEMANDS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: PHYSICAL & MENTAL: Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, push, and pull when necessary. Must be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well-organized and attentive to details. Must fully understand standards of position as management may direct.
