Key Responsibilities Children's Community School, through the assistance of Post University would welcome University Students who are majoring in Education or a related field who can assist our school in offering each child greater success in their studies and solidifying their forward trajectory. Each assistant can not only help meet the needs outlined by the primary teacher, tutor, or counselor for the student but also bring to each session their own capabilities such as astronomy, computer programming, science, mathematics, reading and writing or other personal strengths. Assistants will work closely with Reading Tutor's to provide tutoring services to elementary school-age students. Post Work Study Program participants are welcomed to bring with their energy, an observer's viewpoint, and share a distinct academic specialty and outlook. STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt PAY: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour HOURS: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm SCHEDULE: 10 months (aligned to district calendar) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Applicants should possess motivation and creativity, demonstrate a positive demonstration of strong interpersonal communication skills, be active in working within a team, and consistently demonstrate punctuality and attendance. Assist the Lead Teacher with the classroom's appearance, décor, and learning environment. Assist in establishing and maintaining an environment for children that is clean, safe, stimulating, and appropriate for each child's developmental level. Assume an equal share of the staff's housekeeping responsibilities. Meet and maintain licensing requirements for the ratio. Assume the role of leadership in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
