Hallmark University company history timeline

1969

On September 18, 1969, the doors opened to eight pioneering students who paved the way for the many thousands of proud Hallmark alumni that have followed.

1969 as Hallmark Aero-Tech

1981

The electronics program was launched in 1981.

1982

In 1982 Hallmark became the first private career school in the State of Texas to be awarded Associate degree-granting authority.

1985

In 1985, a second campus opened in the north central San Antonio area.

1988

By 1988, the business program was launched at the second campus.

1995

In 1995, Hallmark Aero-Tech was renamed Hallmark Institute of Aeronautics and Hallmark Institute of Technology.

2003

By 2003, the computer networking, medical assisting, and business office administration programs were launched.

2013

In order to secure the College’s mission for future generations, Hallmark College transitioned to a non-profit institution on January 1, 2013, and is governed by a board of trustees dedicated to our founding principles and core values.

2016

He was among the first members inducted into the San Antonio Aviation and Aerospace Hall of Fame in 2016 for his contributions to the education of aviation technicians.
