The Quality Inspection Supervisor is responsible for product quality review of electrical and mechanical inspections at our site in Vandalia, OH. This role requires understanding of inspection gaging and quality tools, as well as a strong understanding of different manufacturing processes. In addition, managing a team of 15 hourly Production Inspectors in a union environment. In this role, you will monitor productivity and effectivity of the inspection team. You will serve as direct liaison between production and inspection within a matrixed organization. Job Description Role & Responsibilities * Manage the inspection team's hours, priorities, and area support as needed. * Allocate and deploy resources in inspection areas to ensure effectivity and productivity. * Manage inspection and process controls including inspection plans, first article inspections, gage R&R, quality plans, GD&T, etc. * Track the need for new gaging, enhanced functional tooling, and additional resources. * Assist in the review and closure of non-conformances. * Work with cross functional teams to drive inspection improvements by monitoring metrics, defining problems, working projects, and communicating the results. * Mentor inspection personnel & partner with the quality engineering team to expand the inspection team's quality knowledge; managing the inspection training and competency requirements.
