Responsibilities
Supports licensed therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients.
Assists with patient preparation, maintaining therapy equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized treatment environment.
Assist therapists in preparing patients for treatment sessions.
Set up and maintain therapy equipment to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of therapy areas and equipment.

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY
The OHS Technician is responsible for administering respirator fit testing, audiometric testing, drug & Alcohol Testing, and pulmonary function testing. In addition, the OHS Technician is a vital part of the OHS program as a whole.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain a working knowledge of all testing equipment which includes but not limited to respirator fit machines, pulmonary function machine, audiometry machine, and breath alcohol machines.
Calibrate all equipment at the beginning of each day in accordance with manufacturer's requirements. Additional calibrations may be required at other times according to manufacturer's specifications.
Inspect and repair all equipment as necessary.
Conduct periodic surveys of equipment and stations so that all safety and hygiene hazards to customers and Technicians are identified and corrected.
Complete all the administrative steps applicable to the equipment so that all required information is verified and properly recorded.
Administer respirator fit tests in full compliance with CFR 1910.134 Respiratory Protection Standard.
Administer all drug and alcohol collections in full compliance with 49 CFR Part 40 standards.
Maintain and develop customer relationships by responding to questions, concerns, and requests from customers with speed and professionalism.
Thoroughly disinfect and inspect each respirator upon completion of each test
Insure all customer data and paperwork is kept confidential at all times
Keep up to date with relevant safety topics, software and lecture and online training technology
Up to date in NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) and CAOHC (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation) certifications
Up to date in all drug and alcohol testing certifications and courses
Strive to maintain personal drug testing procedures that are flawless - undergo mandated remediation within 30 days of error notification.
Respond to after-hour calls as needed
Requirements
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Customer service skills are required.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Must enjoy working with the public and have a strong initiative to work independently.
Must be able to adapt to work in varied environments and learn detailed procedures.
Proven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.
Cross-train and assist other departments as necessary.
Current certifications in CAOHC (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation), NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), BAT (Breath Alcohol collection), and DOT (Department of Transportation).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure and maintain adequate supplies and equipment to carry out the duties necessary to

4. Cleans bathrooms, hallways, and any other areas by sweeping, mopping, as needed.
Makes rounds to ensure cleanliness of the areas during the day at least every 2 to 3 hours.

various cleaning task.
6. Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning all areas as needed for spills.
7. Empties and decontaminates trash containers at the beginning of evening clinic and as
needed.
8. Maintains all lobby areas for cleanliness throughout the day.
9. Puts out wet signs and umbrella bags when weather indicated.
10. Disposes of potentially infectious waste according to biohazard standards when needed.
11. Maintains regular inventory of supplies and provides request for orders to supervisor.

What You'll Do:
As an Environmental Monitoring Specialist II, you will play a key role in supporting our Microbiology operations:
* Perform EM of the classified aseptic production areas including incubation of samples, reading of results, reporting, and approving data (EM activities include but are not limited to contact plates, viable/non-viable counts, microbial ID testing/send-outs, and operator monitoring).
* Conducts microbiological media growth promotion and maintains department stock cultures.
* Supporting aseptic media fill process simulation validations.
* Responsible for QC micro equipment validation, maintenance and calibration.
* Performs safety testing on in-process and final drug products.
* General laboratory operations (ordering supplies and culture media, operating
laboratory equipment, sample receipt, and send outs)

Required Experience and Education:
* BA or BS in any science-related field (degree may be waived for more years of experience)

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDS:
Computer, telephone, fax, commercial and residential equipment i.e. laundry equipment, buffer, vacuum, shampooer, furniture, medical equipment/supplies, housekeeping/laundry supplies, power cleaning tools, etc..
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Cleans common areas, resident rooms, restrooms, and administrative offices.
Dry dust/wet mops, scrubs, and vacuum floors.
Cleans draperies, privacy curtains, and blinds.
Dusts furniture. Washes walls and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, vents, and sills.
Empties and cleans wastebaskets and ashtrays.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
Dispenses lines, briefs, and other assigned products to appropriate areas.
Documents and reports equipment or products that need repair or replacing.
Reports promptly any resident concerns.
Attends in-service as scheduled.
Works assigned schedule including weekends and holidays.
The associate is authorized to have no access to resident health information as needed to provide treatment, for billing purposes or the purpose of healthcare operations.
Other duties may be assigned.
