Position Overview:
Adjunct Nursing faculty are responsible for facilitating learning and learner development, using assessment and evaluation strategies, participating in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, evaluating student learning and program outcomes, and functioning within the educational environment. This role must be fulfilled in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state and federal regulatory and accrediting bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and evaluate ground full-time and adjunct arts and science faculty.
* Supervise and evaluate assigned online arts & science faculty.
* Hire, with approval of chair and dean, and orient ground arts & science adjunct and full-time faculty in sufficient numbers to support campus needs.
* Ensure faculty provide quality instruction, identify, and support at-risk students, and meet retention goals.
* In collaboration with chair and other associate chairs, develop course schedules and workload for review and approval by dean of Arts & Sciences.
* Schedule and conduct regular faculty meetings for Arts & Sciences Faculty.
* Facilitate and participate in quarterly course meetings.
* Ensure development of quality course syllabi, assessments, and supporting materials incorporating sound instructional design principles.
* In collaboration with the Institutional Effectiveness Department, ensure effective assessment of General Education Competencies and implementation a continuous process improvement plan focused on those competencies.
* Ensure all regional and programmatic accreditation requirements are met regarding the Arts & Science curriculum.
* Collaborate with faculty development for faculty development goals for Arts & Sciences faculty.
* In collaboration with arts & sciences chair and other associate chairs schedule and conduct online faculty training sessions as needed to support the online teaching needs of the college.
* Collaborates with faculty and chair to create and maintain an environment conductive to teaching and learning, scholarship, and service, including oversight of faculty assignments, scheduling, and workload.
* Ensure the appropriate application of student policies and the correct implementation of related procedures by faculty
* Carry a ÂĽ (one course) teaching load in the College
* Other duties as assigned by the chair and/or dean.
Position Requirements
* Education: Minimum of Master's Degree in one of the Arts & Sciences subjects taught at the college or a closely related field.
* Physical Requirements: Position requires mental activity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision making. Physical demands in classroom and office are minimal and considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying such articles as records, files, and books (10 pounds maximum). Operation of standard office equipment such as phone, computer, classroom projector, Scantron, and printer/scanner, occurs on a frequent basis.

**Position Overview:**
As a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator at Galen College of Nursing, you will support the Office of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance by managing and organizing information to demonstrate on-going state and federal regulatory compliance and legal requirements for the multi-state College. In addition, the Coordinator will support the institution by assisting in the coordination and organization of multiple facets of the process required for continued compliance with the College's state regulatory agencies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accreditor and state and federal regulatory agency rules and regulations. Ensure the College is aware of and incorporates changes in law or interpretations.
2. Prepare, review, and edit materials required for applications and site visits.
3. Organize and interpret regulatory report data and identify strategies for improvement in maintaining compliance requirements.
4. Coordinate and organize data and other information in support of ongoing state and federal regulatory compliance, which includes preparation of annual state reports, collaborating with other stakeholders and departments as required. 5. Support efforts to achieve state board of nursing and state board of education authorizations in order to expand the postlicensure programs in states outside those with a current physical presence; obtain and maintain state authorizations or exemptions.
6. Understand college operating procedures, institutional benchmarks, and external guidelines and benchmarks, consumer disclosures, and other required compliance elements.
7. Maintain effective and standard operational processes and documentation.
8. Support training programs to improve compliance with policies and regulations.
9. Monitor local, regional, and national publications for news and events that may impact the College.
10. Prepare responses for signature, summarize lengthy correspondence and follow up to ensure proper and timely action is taken.
11. Operates independently, assisting faculty and staff in the absence of department leadership.

+ You will perform any other duties or procedures incident to the surgical procedure deemed necessary and as directed by the surgeon.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Current KY licensure or National Certification as a: Orthopedic Physician Assistant or Certified ORT or RN Licensure or Doctorate of Medicine (corresponding with education obtained).
+ High school or GED required; Graduate of Accredited Programs in: Physician Assistant, Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT), RN, MD.
+ Current BLS required.
