Essential Job Functions
As an Armed Protective Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of stakeholders and the facility. Your responsibilities will include:
Enforcing access control measures to permit entry only to authorized individuals, packages, and vehicles
Operating walk-through and hand-held metal detectors, as well as x-ray machines, to screen individuals and items
Conducting thorough vehicle inspections
Identifying and addressing security threats according to established protocols
Preventing, detecting, and apprehending individuals attempting unauthorized access or violating laws
Executing emergency closure procedures and providing security assistance during crises
Conducting roving guard services and perimeter/interior patrols to identify security breaches and unsafe conditions
Delivering exceptional customer service to facility employees and visitors
Monitoring and operating various security systems, including intrusion detection, surveillance, and access control systems
Providing escort and courier services for the safe transportation of personnel and property
Performing emergency responses, including CPR, AED, and first aid, as needed
Maintaining accurate reports, records, and logs
PSOs must have the ability to remain alert for up to 12 hours, be on post up to 4 consecutive hours without sitting, eating, or bathroom breaks,
Utilizing weapons when necessary, following established guidelines.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet ALL of the following requirements, and examination results must be favorable as defined by contractual standards:
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of armed security experience within the past five years OR
Minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience in full-duty status with a full-service police department within the US, with a good standing resignation or retirement OR

Background Prerequisites
Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks for this assignment going back 7 years, controlled substance testing, may need to meet physical examination requirements, government-based background check and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Controls access to facility through the admittance process; precludes unauthorized access to facilities, and the conversion, theft or intentional destruction of physical assets; assists visitors with a legitimate need to gain entry to the facility; screens visitors and client employees in an efficient manner in order to expedite their admittance to the site or facility
Responds to unusual or emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response following established protocol for the site and as dictated by the situation, by the company, and through required training and licensing; maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons as required

Job Summary
The Watch Officer works under general direction and will identify, understand, and mitigate potential risks and threats to the business through intelligence monitoring. Monitor multiple security, and other relevant systems to aid in the safety and security of Comcast personnel and assets
Ensure that all Requests for Information are quickly and effectively acted upon and coordinated across the appropriate cross-teams
Receive, assess, and document initial reports of security incidents and threats. Assess the business impact and respond as needed
Collect intelligence on incidents as they develop and update cross-teams accordingly
Monitor source information for high value assets and recognize indicators of potential impact on company operations

Your role in caring for our company:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Patrols and monitors activities on the company's premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure
Monitors gated entrance and logs visitor information
Receives and records deliveries, ensures accurate documentation, and stores inventory in designated locations.

Your role in caring for our company:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Position Overview
As a Security Watch Stander, you will play a critical role in safeguarding federal vessels and ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and information on board. Operating as the first line of defense, you will monitor, patrol, and respond to security threats and incidents, thereby contributing to the overall security posture of the vessel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The security watch standers shall provide hourly security rounds, inspecting all spaces of the ship (excluding staterooms)
The security watch standers are required to contact the designated OOD, duty engineer or XO/CO if any unusual events occur
The watch stander conducting security rounds shall log all rounds and any unusual events in the vessel's security watch log
Ensures only authorized persons are allowed on ship and logs arrival and departure of any approved visitors
Ensures the piers and gates are secure
In the case of an emergency, the security watch stander will be able to sound the ship's general alarm and operate the Public Announcement system
When not making rounds, the security watch stander will be present on the bridge and be alert to their surroundings
The security watch stander shall be required to answer the ship's phone and will do so in a polite and professional manner. They will also be required to carry a phone when not on the bridge, to maintain communications (personal/company issued cell phone, etc).
The security watch stander will perform morning and evening colors as directed by the ship
Security watch standers will present themselves for their watch in sufficient time to be briefed on any changes to the routine or special instructions from the off going watch. Approximately 10 minutes may be required to exchange the watch and transfer information
Security watch standers will not depart the ship without being properly relieved following their watch.
Working Conditions
This position involves working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to provide 24/7 security coverage on the vessel
The role requires working in various weather conditions and environments, both indoors and outdoors, on board a vessel at sea

As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of stakeholders and the facility. Your responsibilities will include:
Enforcing access control measures to permit entry only to authorized individuals, packages, and vehicles
Operating walk-through and hand-held metal detectors, as well as x-ray machines, to screen individuals and items
Conducting thorough vehicle inspections

About the Position:
As a Security Officer with Cologix you will be responsible for providing a physical layer of security at all Cologix locations. Security Officers are responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of Cologix employees, guests and facilities.
What you do daily:
* Verifies the identities of employees, customers and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
* Monitors all interior and exterior cameras. Immediately addresses any policy infractions, emergency situations or suspicious activity.
* Controls the access of permitted visitors and provides them with temporary access (visitor badges). Denies individuals who do not meet the entry criteria.
* Keeps an accurate log of all visitors/vendors that have gained entry to the facility by using the PeopleTracker system.
* Responsible for conducting numerous physical security checks per shift. Personnel will patrol the interior and exterior of their assigned building looking for unsecured doors/windows, signs of tampering and any unauthorized individuals. All checks will be documented and will include any findings.
