Job Description
San Joaquin Country Club is a premier private club with a tradition of excellence that features full club amenities including a pool, practice area, and driving range. The clubhouse offers fine dining, Member's Grill, and has banquet space capable of hosting banquets, weddings, and other events. We are looking to fill several Hostess positions to act is the first point of contact for members and guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. This position is responsible for managing dining reservations, seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth communication between the front-of-house and service staff. The Hostess plays a key role in maintaining a high standard of hospitality and member satisfaction.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Greet members and guests promptly, courteously, and professionally as they arrive.
Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments to optimize the flow of service.
Escort members and guests to their tables, presenting menus and informing them of any specials or upcoming events.
Communicate table status and guest needs to servers and management.
Monitor dining areas to ensure guest satisfaction and cleanliness.
Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and providing accurate club information.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the host stand and entrance area.
Support service staff by assisting with guest needs as appropriate.
Handle member concerns or complaints with discretion and professionalism, referring to management as needed.
Assist with special events and functions as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Previous hosting or guest service experience preferred, especially in a fine dining or private club setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Basic knowledge of reservation systems or POS software preferred.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $110,000 - $150,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

As a Service Sales - Food & Dairy professional at GEA, you will drive the growth of our service business across North America by promoting and selling spare parts, repairs, field services, upgrades, customized service projects, and service level agreements. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership:
Develop and implement service sales strategies in alignment with the Director of Service Sales and other key business stakeholders.

Your Profile / Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Technologies or a related field (extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu).
5+ years of experience in service sales or capital equipment sales.
Industry knowledge of food and dairy processing; experience with aseptic processing or powder packaging is a plus.
Experience working remotely with a high degree of autonomy.

We are seeking a Banquet Server to join our rapidly growing Banquets & Catering team.
The Opportunity:
As a Server, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the guest experience and the quality of service that will be extended to visitors, students, faculty and staff on a daily basis. The Server primarily provides a consistent and professional delivery of customer service to guests, including full restaurant table service. As a customer-facing member of the Banquets and Catering team, the Server embodies the values and work ethic of the entire staff. The Accountabilities:
Provides professional delivery of food and beverage service to faculty, staff, students and guests. Takes accurate food and beverage orders and provides suggestions to customers based on established menus.

Serves food and beverages to customers. Checks food and beverage orders for accuracy before they are presented to customers. Maintains established presentation standards for food and beverages. Attends to customers during their dining experience and provides excellent customer service.
Conducts service transactions. Accepts and processes payments for food and beverages in compliance with cash handling policies and procedures, and university and department guidelines.
Stocks and maintains all supplies, food items, and utensils.
Assists in set-up and break-down of dining room/event.
Delivers food items to various locations on university campus and offsite catering events.
