Responsible for performing both primary and secondary research, which will highlight business implications to the Enterprise and help inform and direct strategy. This position performs research, develops analyses and presents findings on a variety of issues impacting the health care/managed care/insurance industry. Plans and conducts qualitative and quantitative research projects to completion, including but not limited to design, data collection, tabulation, analysis and presentation. Develops and performs analysis of research utilizing various methods of data and sample collection according to established statistical methods (i.e. surveys, questionnaires, in-depth interviewing, etc.) Creates analyses and presentations which highlight research findings. Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with research suppliers/consultants to coordinate and supervise research projects. Consults with internal clients to integrate research and analysis to support key project initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Education/Experience Bilingual in Spanish and English required. Bachelors degree preferred or relevant/equivalent work experience. Prefers an MBA or masters. Requires minimum of two (2) years experience conducting market research, preferably in the healthcare or health insurance industry. Knowledge Requires knowledge of research techniques and resources. Prefers knowledge of Horizon BCBSNJ products and services. Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes; Should be knowledgeable in the use of intranet and internet applications.
