The Systems Engineer performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and sustainability. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical and engineering principles. Performs functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications. The engineer will present a deep understanding of requirements development in an agile environment, architecture definition/decomposition, testing philosophies/methodologies, and verification coverage. This individual will participate in the System Engineering life cycle, including requirements development, architecture development, system analyses (reliability, maintainability, etc.), integration and test planning, and system verification. Essential Job Responsibilities Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Minimum Qualifications + 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience. + Position requires significant experience with either Radar design or Signals analysis. + Significant experience in anechoic chamber design, use, and sustainment to include calibration schemes, multi-path analysis, and optimization + Tasking includes system design and trade studies, RF chain analysis, algorithm development and system performance analysis. + Experience with Radar Signal Processing Techniques, System Integration, and Test. + Advanced skills with analysis tools/programs (such as MATLAB) is required + Hands-on design, test, integration, and verification support across lab facilities requiring skills in algorithms, software, hardware, and networking. + Support technical publications. + Responsible for planning, implementing and reporting on Systems Engineering activities. + Support technical & functional leadership through the identification of risk. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks + Secret clearance minimum to start Physical Requirements Office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
