Commanded 22,000 Marines in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, liberating Kuwait City after defeating 8 Iraqi Army divisions in zone. Last active duty assignment was as Director, Expeditionary Warfare in OPNAV, managing a budget of $13.5 Billion procurement budget. Transitioned to work for Bechtel Corporation in Project Management, including managing the $22 Billion project to construct the Korean High Speed Rail from Seoul to Pusan (412 kilometers).
