LMS & Instructional Systems Designer, Client Learning and Development
Instructional designer job in Atlanta, GA
Please Note:
This is an on-site position located in Atlanta, GA. Crisp is committed to supporting candidates by offering relocation assistance for qualified applicants who require moving to the Atlanta area.
About the Role
As the LMS & Instructional Systems Designer, Client Learning and Development at Crisp, you will be responsible for building, organizing, and delivering the content that powers our coaching ecosystem and owning the end-to-end development and launch of Crisp Academy as a standalone learning and development product for the broader legal industry.
You'll sit at the intersection of instructional design, program management, and product development. One day you're turning a rough outline into a polished, visually engaging slide deck and presenter script. Next, you're coordinating with our team to produce and upload new courses to our LMS. Then you're working with Marketing and Sales to take Crisp Academy to market as a professional development solution for non-lawyer team members.
Are you the go-to person for organizing information, crafting presentations, managing complex projects, and turning ideas into real, shippable content? Do you get equally excited about building content, streamlining systems, and launching products that help people grow?
The LMS & Instructional System Designer, Client Learning and Development role is a perfect fit for someone who:
Thinks like an instructional designer, understanding how adults learn, how information flows, and how learners engage.
Has an eye for visual design and a mastery of writing across mediums (slides, scripts, workbooks, tools, and LMS content).
Operates like a project manager and product owner, building and executing clear roadmaps with multiple stakeholders.
Has an innate blend as a researcher and innovator while constantly learning, testing, and improving.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to shape the future of a rapidly growing department in one of the nation's fastest-growing companies.
If you thrive at the intersection of content creation, program management, and product development, and you see every asset not just as information but as an opportunity to educate, inspire, and drive measurable results, then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts, coaches, designers, and program stakeholders to develop content for workshops, Intensives, and Crisp Academy.
Translate conceptual ideas and outlines into visually engaging, tangible learning deliverables (e.g., slide decks, workbooks, tools, e-learning modules, and supplementary materials).
Carefully (extremely carefully) review anything our clients will see to ensure it is perfect, consistent, and up to Crisp standards.
Research industry trends, instructional methods, and innovative learning formats to continually evolve Crisp's coaching program and Crisp Academy.
Serve as the internal owner of the Crisp Academy LMS (Trainual or future platform) to ensure courses are organized, easy to navigate, and on-brand.
Act as program manager for Crisp Academy's further development and go-to-market plan: coordinating with Marketing, Sales, and Coaching on launch timelines, messaging, and enablement assets.
Support product packaging decisions (pathways, bundles, access tiers) and ensure the Academy offering is clearly articulated for non-lawyer team members and law firm owners.
Track and report on key Academy performance indicators (course usage, completion, adoption, feedback) and recommend roadmap updates based on data.
Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance our current Trainual setup and participate in evaluating and implementing future LMS solutions.
Manage and maintain a perpetually growing library of coaching tools, content, and assets across platforms (Dropbox, Trainual, ClickUp, etc.).
Partner with Coaching, Crisp Experience, Events, and Production to ensure in-person Workshop and Intensive content is mirrored and reinforced in Crisp Academy courses and pathways.
Contribute to company goals by quickly creating high-impact content solutions and building a best-in-class online academy that inspires, educates, and elevates our clients.
Requirements:
Be extremely organized and confident juggling multiple platforms, priorities, projects, and stakeholders at once.
Have the strategic focus and experience managing complex projects or programs from start to finish involving content, curriculum, or product launches.
Have the tactical acumen and attention to detail to quickly spot a typo, grammatical error, formatting inconsistency, or extra space between words (yes, it matters) from a mile away.
Be a super-strong, lightning-fast writer with experience adapting tone and structure for different formats such as presentations, scripts, and learning tools.
Be comfortable turning a loose outline into a polished, structured learning asset without needing step-by-step instructions, while adhering to adult learning best practices.
Have familiarity with learning management systems (Trainual or similar) and be comfortable learning new tools quickly.
Have strong visual instincts and a high standard for slide design, layout, and overall learner experience (you don't have to be a graphic designer, but you need to know what “good” looks like).
Be comfortable collaborating across departments and keeping people aligned and on track.
Be proactive in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and improving processes rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be energized by deadlines, ambitious goals, and high expectations.
Take ownership of your outcomes and possess a growth mindset.
Have a fast-paced work ethic that allows you to meet tight deadlines (24-hour deadline with a to-do list a mile long? No problem!).
Exhibit an infectious can-do attitude and an ability to pivot and change course on a dime.
Typically 3-6+ years of experience in instructional design, program or project management, product marketing, or a similar role building and launching content-driven programs.
Pluses:
Experience developing workshop and/or classroom-style presentations and training sessions, including outlines, slide decks, and handouts/worksheets.
Background in e-learning course development, LMS administration, or adult learning.
Familiarity with product marketing or go-to-market work (positioning, packaging, launch support).
Experience working with law firms, professional services, or B2B education products.
Proficiency in managing a large content library with many moving pieces-such as a multi-channel content calendar, Academy library, or similar.
Technical experience in Keynote, Google Suite, ClickUp (or other PM tools), Dropbox, Wistia (or other video hosting platforms), and Trainual or similar LMS.
Comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity) to accelerate research, outlining, and first-draft content creation, while maintaining high standards of quality and judgment.
