Responsible for keeping the facility properly clean as outlined below. Travel to other locations will be necessary. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the mission and vision of Teche Health by assisting in clinic community activity and loyalty representing the clinic. Demonstrate ability to offer supportive assistance to co-workers with courteous behavior and appropriate language. Represent Teche Health in a positive manner keeping in mind that actions reflect favorably or unfavorably upon the clinic. Follow Teche Health and departmental policies and procedures which include but not limited to: Attendance and punctuality. Proper notification of anticipated absence. Will be required to report to work 30-60 minutes prior to facility closure. Perform related activities as delegated or required.     Teche Health, A Federally Qualified Health Center, per Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act, is currently seeking qualified applicants for our Environmental Services Attendant position based in Franklin, Louisiana, but will travel to all Teche Health locations. JOB SUMMARY: Reports to the Facility and Project Manager, this position is responsible for keeping premises of Teche Health in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for keeping the facility properly clean as outlined below. Travel to other locations will be necessary. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the mission and vision of Teche Health by assisting in clinic community activity and loyalty representing the clinic. Demonstrate ability to offer supportive assistance to co-workers with courteous behavior and appropriate language. Represent Teche Health in a positive manner keeping in mind that actions reflect favorably or unfavorably upon the clinic. Follow Teche Health and departmental policies and procedures which include but not limited to: Attendance and punctuality. Proper notification of anticipated absence. Will be required to report to work 30-60 minutes prior to facility closure. Perform related activities as delegated or required. Other duties may be assigned when our Emergency Operation Plan is activated. DAILY CLEANING Waiting Room, Break Room, Exam Rooms, Nurses Station, Reception Area, Labs, Dental Areas and all Patient Care Areas All trash receptacles to be emptied and trash removed to a collection point. Replace liner damp wipe receptacle if needed. This includes all white/red and sharp containers. Vacuum all carpeting, including carpet mats, in traffic lanes. Clean and polish drinking fountain/water dispenser. Thoroughly dust all horizontal surfaces: including desktops, telephones, files, windowsills, chairs, tables, pictures and all manner of furnishing in above named areas. Damp wipe as needed. Kitchen/Break room Areas: Damp wipe tables, chairs, counter, exterior of appliances, and sink. Check walls and cabinets for splash/spill marks and remove as necessary. Dust mop hard surface floors with a non-treated dust mop. Damp mop hard surface floors to remove any spillage or soiled areas. Damp wipe entrance metal and finger marks on entrance glass. Spot clean partition glass. Use a high co-efficient disinfectant for proper sanitation. Restrooms Stock towels, tissue, and hand soap. Empty sanitary napkin receptacles and damp wipe with disinfectant. Empty trash receptacles and wipe if needed. Clean and polish mirrors. Wipe towel cabinet covers, dispensers, and changing tables (if applicable). Toilets and urinals to be cleaned and disinfected inside and out. Polish bright work. Toilet seats to be cleaned on both sides and disinfected. Scour and disinfect all basins. Polish bright work. Dust partitions, tops of mirrors and frames. Remove splash marks from walls around basins. Wet mop and rinse restroom floors with disinfectant. WEEKLY CLEANING Waiting Room, Break Room, Exam Rooms, Nurses Station, Reception Area Dust all vertical surfaces of desk, file cabinets, chairs, tables, other furniture and furnishings. Damp wipe as needed. Dust baseboards and ledges. Damp wipe as needed. Vacuum all carpeting and carpet mats, taking care to get into corners, along edges, under mats, and beneath furniture. Damp mop hard surface floors, taking care to get into corners, along edges, under mats, and beneath furniture. Damp wipe telephones using a disinfectant. MONTHLY CLEANING Waiting Room, Break Room, Exam Rooms, Nurses Station, Reception Area Accomplish all high dusting up to 12 feet, not reached in the above-mentioned cleaning. (Task must be accomplished without use of a ladder.) Remove fingerprints and marks from around light switches and doorframes. FLOOR CARE PROGRAM Buff all waxed floors, to enable them to present the best possible appearance at all times BI -MONTHLY. Machine scrub, rinse, and re-coat all waxed flooring in order to prevent excessive wear TWICE ANNUALLY. Machine strip, rinse, and re-coat all waxed flooring in order to prevent excessive wear ANNUALLY. CARPET CARE PROGRAM Carpet Care Shampoo carpet using the extraction/bonnet method TWICE ANNUALLY. Inspect carpets for stains and remove where possible AS NEEDED. (Inform supervisor of any spots that have been treated and are unable to be removed). Care shall be exercised so that baseboards, walls and furniture shall not be splashed, marred, disfigured, or damaged during these procedures.
