Reporting to the Director of Retention & Success, the College & Career Success Coach will provide a holistic, proactive approach to assist students in achieving their educational and career goals by providing developmental academic advising. Through the management of an assigned caseload, the College & Career Success Coach will assist students with identifying educational and career options while advocating, assessing, and facilitating access to appropriate resources. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In collaboration with the student and upon review of career assessment information, identify the appropriate Navarro College Track (Metamajor) and career Pathway, assist with the analysis of career exploration, including possible career outcomes and their implications; establish the academic pathway and career goals, and establish an action plan for students to explore alternative careers and related academic/certificate program adjacency. Use case management principles of advocacy, assessment, and service facilitation to advance the achievement of student goals and link students with appropriate resources Utilize available and appropriate technology to: monitor academic progress of students toward degree and/or certificate completion, identify current and potential academic and registration needs, recognize milestones, document ongoing case management activities, and document all pertinent student information, communication, and status updates.
