    Full-time, Part-time Description The Counselor is responsible for the management of Our Lady's Inn mental health and addiction support program at the St. Charles County maternity home. The Counselor works with residential clients, on an individual basis and in group setting, to provide mental health and substance abuse counseling, support, resource referral, and education. The Counselor must commit to the agency's pro-life mission. Schedule: 25-30 hours per week FT or PT; 5 days per week with at least 1 evening required. Essential Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to): Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with each client through 1:1 meetings. Conducts a comprehensive mental health intake and exit assessment. Orients new clients to the mental health component of the OLI Program; helps each to establish mental health goals within a Person-Centered Plan and tracks accomplishments related to those goals. Partners with the Program Director and Director of Counseling to identify and execute mental health programming, on-site and off-site, for clients. Work cooperatively as a team member with all staff and community partners. Facilitate classes using an approved evidence-based curriculum related to emotional wellness, effective communication, and healthy relationships. Assists client access to resources for drug treatment and mental health evaluations. Records case activity on each client and stores in their file; completes all relevant case notes and paperwork in a timely fashion. Participates in regular supervision sessions with the Director of Counseling. Attends weekly staff meetings for both houses and, on occasion, provides formal training to staff on topics such as behavioral health, strength-based practices, and trauma-informed care. Attends Program Committee meetings as requested. Attend community educational meetings as necessary. Requirements Education: Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychology with L.P.C., L.M.S.W, or L.C.S.W. preferred Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of counseling experience in both individual and group settings. Knowledge of trauma, addiction, abuse, women's issues, homelessness, and community resources. Experience working within a trauma-informed care service delivery environment is a plus! Skills and Abilities: Must have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work as part of a team. Strong computer and database skills are required.
