Underwriting Support Assistant

Overview:
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Underwriting Support Assistant to join our team. As an Underwriting Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our underwriting operations by performing various clerical functions.
Responsibilities:

* Entering new submissions coming into the organization via email

* Sending market block notifications to producers following outlined protocols

* Executing assigned Performance Goals by following prescribed training guidelines

* Adhering to prescribed productivity and accuracy standards

* Contributing to team meeting service level standards set forth by department leadership

* Maintaining a professional working relationship with colleagues at Markel

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma Required

* 1-3 years of experience in underwriting, insurance operations, or support roles

* Strong written and typing skills

* Strong oral communication skills

* Adequate in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)

* Strong Team Player
