Lambda Phi Epsilon company history timeline

1981

Lambda Phi Epsilon was founded on February 25, 1981 by a group of nineteen dedicated men led by Principal Founder Master Craig Ishigo.

Lambda Phi Epsilon was formed on February 25, 1981 at the University of California, Los Angeles.

1990

On May 28th, 1990, the fraternity, now with six chapters total, convened on the campus of the University of California, Irvine for the first annual National Convention, which to this day has been held regularly over Memorial Day weekend.

1995

After becoming a California nonprofit organization and incorporating in 1995, the fraternity changed its official name to Lambda Phi Epsilon National Fraternity, Inc.

1996

A match was eventually found for Evan, unfortunately by that time the disease had taken its toll and he passed away in 1996.

1998

1999

Nontraditional houses expand Greek community for studentsIn an effort to get to know other Asian students in a more connected setting, Bryan Dosono, a junior majoring in informatics, joined Lambda Phi Epsilon, an Asian fraternity at the UW since 1999.

2003

April 28, 2003 ASC Cultural Talent Show a smash hit, audience saysThe 15th Annual Cultural Talent Show, presented by the Asian Student Commission, rocked the HUB Ballroom Friday night with loud cheers and chants in response to a variety of talented student performers.

Within the next four years, the Colony gained Associate status, and finally full Active status as Alpha Zeta Chapter on May 25, 2003.

2004

The next decade brought the fraternity international status with the formation of a chapter at the University of Toronto in 2004, making it the first Asian interest fraternity established in Canada.

2006

In 2006, Lambda Phi Epsilon joined the National Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Panhellenic Association to increase collaboration and partnership between fellow APIDA Greek organizations.

2013

Since then, Alpha Zeta Chapter has crossed over a hundred brothers into the family and the chapter has been reputed for winning numerous step competitions, philanthropic excellence awards, and most recently, Chapter of the Year at National Convention 2013.
