**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**
The Penn State Hershey Medical Center Advanced Practice Fellowship is a post graduate emergency medicine fellowship that will educate highly qualified graduate nurse practitioners and physician assistants to become skilled, compassionate and efficient emergency medicine providers. Fellows will acquire enhanced clinical proficiencies through didactics and patient care which cultivate enhanced technique and expertise in a fast-paced medical setting. This distinguished fellowship fosters a successful transition to practice by way of a multi-disciplinary healthcare approach among a team of accomplished healthcare providers and collaboration with other specialties. The Emergency Medicine Fellowship curriculum will consist of both clinical and didactic education. The didactic sessions will include 4-6 hour residency conferences. The clinical rotations with include varying time spent in Radiology, Anesthesia, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, MICU, Trauma/SICU, OB/GYN, and in the pre-hospital setting on Life Lion ground. An elective will be offered to allow the fellow a choice in their 9th rotation. Suggestions for this rotation include additional time in the pre-hospital setting, EMS management, Family Community Medicine, or Event Medicine. PSU Hershey is unique in its ability to offer a rotation in Event Medicine, which will include medical services at Penn State football games, the Reading Airshow, and Civil War re-enactments at Gettysburg.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ Master's degree in Nursing and currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by State or employment OR Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment and National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Position Overview: The Home Health Aide Trainee role is an entry-level position within Aveanna's Pennsylvania operations. Once certified, work settings may include homes, schools, or daycare facilities, depending on the plan of care. Applicants or current employees selected for this position will enroll in Care Academy, a structured training program designed to help individuals earn their Home Health Aide Certification.
Job Duties and Expectations:
* Participate fully in the Care Academy Training Program, including regular attendance at in-person sessions, active engagement, completion of all assignments, self-study materials, and meeting program certification requirements.
* Communicate effectively with branch leaders, team members, and Care Academy Training staff.

Job Duties After HHA Certification:

* Ongoing education will be required post-certification, including meeting Pennsylvania state requirements:
* Completion of 75 hours of training, including 16 hours of clinical instruction.

**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**
The Penn State Hershey Medical Center Children's Hospital Advanced Practice Fellowship will be a 12 month post graduate neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship that will educate highly qualified certified physician assistants and nurse practitioners to become competent, proficient, and compassionate neonatal providers. Through didactics and direct patient care, the fellow will obtain superior clinical skills allowing them to thrive in a fast paced critical care setting. This fellowship promotes a smooth transition to clinical practice by way of a multi-disciplinary healthcare approach among a team of skilled healthcare providers and collaboration with various other specialties.
**The neonatal fellowship curriculum will consist of both clinical and didactic education. The didactic sessions will include the following:** APC/resident lecture, Pediatric ground rounds, Journal Club, Neonatal M&M, and a perinatal meeting. APC fellow will join the medical fellow education course. The fellow will be tested in the simulation lab with various mock scenarios. Additionally, the fellow will prepare 2 case presentations to be presented to the department and 1 APC journal club.
The clinical rotations will include time spent in the NICU, newborn nursery, with bedside NICU nurses, NICU high risk developmental clinic, pediatric radiology, maternal fetal medicine, pediatric cardiology, pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric surgery, and pediatric pulmonology. During NICU rotations, the fellow will also participate in air and ground transports with Life Lion.
The Penn State Hershey Medical Center is a tertiary care teaching hospital designated as a level IV neonatal intensive care unit providing the highest care to patients from surrounding areas. Advanced technology, appropriate facilities, and a modern approach to healthcare delivery will provide fellows with the resources needed to become a well-rounded provider who is a leader in the area of neonatal medicine.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ Master's Degree in Nursing and currently licensed to practice as a CRNP by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required OR Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required and National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.

Salary:$14.00 - $18.00 per hour Details The Home Health Aide Trainee role is an entry-level position in Aveanna's Delaware and Pennsylvania PDN business. Locations may hire or select current employees to be placed into this position with the intent of enrolling them in Care Academy, a structured, externally administered training program that prepares individuals to earn their Home Health Aide Certification.
Job Duties and Expectations include, but are not limited to:
Engage in all aspects of the Care Academy Training Program including regular attendance and participation in all in-person training, completion of all assignments and self-study curriculum, and satisfactory completion of program and certifications criteria.
Communicate effectively with branch leaders, staff and Care Academy Training staff.
Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and client staff during and after training program.
Maintain a high standard of customer service and willingness to learn.
Aveanna reserves the right to remove HHA trainees from the Care Academy program for any compliance or policy violations or lack of or incomplete participation.
Job Duties after HHA Certification:
Upon successful completion of the Care Academy program Home Health Aide Trainees will be moved to a Home Health Aide job profile with a commensurate rate of pay and will be assigned appropriate patient cases.
Ongoing Education will be required after certification.
A Home Health Aide will receive at least 12 hours of in-service training during each 12-month period following completion of the Care Academy program. In-service training may occur while an aide is providing care for a patient. Aides will also be required to demonstrate proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with applicable care, policies and procedures.
