About the Role
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition to developing your skills, you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Amazon Operations facility
- Track and store department inventory
- Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
- 2+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
- 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience
- 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
- 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations
- Continuous improvement mindset

- 2+ years of experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls systems

What this job involves:
The Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Your Responsibilities as a Handyman Professional
Completing Maintenance & Repairs - You'll be completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects. The project length can range from two hours to two weeks or more.
Making Recommendations and Managing Expectations with Customers - You'll communicate with customers to help them understand what they need to have done and manage expectations about the scope of work and costs.
Create Life-Long Customers - Deliver a great experience that wows life-long repeat customers. You will follow the My Handyman Way - a repeatable process that makes it easy to wow the customer every time.
How We'll Measure Performance
Here are some of the ways that we'll measure your performance in the role.
Customer Satisfaction (NPS) - For every job, you will encourage customers to complete a survey for them to rate their satisfaction with the service. You'll need both a high response rate and high satisfaction rate.
Revenue Target - Our office gets you in the door and it's your job to stay there and find additional ways to be of service to the customer.
Effective Billing Rate - It's your responsibility to invoice appropriately, source any needed materials, and collect payment from the customer.
Recall Percentage - We guarantee all our work for one year. The work needs to be done correctly, the first time.

To Succeed in this Role
You'll need to self-manage as you'll be alone often.
You'll need to speak with customers and provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments.
You'll need to have the necessary tools, including the ability to use technology.

You'll need to wear proper PPE as well as booties to protect our customer's home.
Job Requirements
These are the minimum requirements to be considered for this position.
Live within the area
Have 8+ years' paid experience in the trades
Own your own tools
Be insurable for driving our vehicle
Complete a background and driving record check
Able to lift 50 pounds independently
Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time
Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle
As an experienced Handyman, you have strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:
Carpentry work
Bathroom improvements
Kitchen improvements
Painting, both inside and out
Drywall work, minor and major repairs
General plumbing and electrical, where allowed by law
Floor installation and refurbishing
Familiar with building codes
Benefits & Pay
The pay range for this position is $50,000 to $75,000 and is dependent on your experience as a professional handyman as well as your experience with other home repair and maintenance projects such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.

The handyman will need to have expertise in multiple types of home repair, maintenance and remodeling. You must have basic construction skills, be organized, and effectively communicate with others with a positive attitude. We are looking for a craftsman or craftswoman who can bid work and produce it. If you have at least 2 of the following skill areas, you're the kind of person we need to add to our team:
General Carpentry - Rough and Finish
Bathroom Upgrades / Remodel
Kitchen Refresh / Remodel
Painting Interior and Exterior
Drywall Repair / Patching / Caulking
Minor Plumbing and Minor Electrical Knowledge
Flooring Repair and Installation
Handyman, General Home Repairs and Maintenance Work
