It is a well-invested SBS paperboard manufacturing facility with approximately 600 thousand tons of capacity. This facility boasts over 700 employees and has been in operation for almost 65 years. What you will do The Maintenance Millwright (J1/J3) has a starting rate of pay between $35.48 - $43.45. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, modifying, proper repair, precision installation, successful start-up, and reliability of all facility equipment. Troubleshooting and servicing all production and support equipment within the facility in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring minimal downtime. Provides technical support by operating a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions within the mill. Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations. Responsible for bearing installation, maintenance, and replacement. Ability to work with rotating equipment, steel fabrication/welding, hydraulics and pneumatics, power transmissions, oil seals, bearings, and pipings. Able to read measurements, blueprints, drawings, and have basic computer skills. Holds self and others to a high level of safety standards, ensuring workplace safety policies are upheld and safety rules are followed (lockout/tagout procedures, appropriate PPE, etc.) Participate as needed in safety incidents and help investigate root cause Maintain a clean working environment by complying with procedures and housekeeping responsibilities What you will need Minimum Journeyman skill level experience in an industrial mechanical system. Able to lift, up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally, over 50 lbs minimally. When lifting 50 lbs and above, Millwright will use team lifting and overhead crane assistance. Performs inspections & routine maintenance, troubleshoot & repair various building environmental systems & associated components including heating, cooling, & ventilation systems. Coordinates with supervisors to schedule repairs & maintenance needs. Install, troubleshoot, repair, & maintain building plumbing systems including domestic hot & cold & sanitary sewer systems. Includes but not limited to, replacing fixtures, repairing leaks, replacing piping, clearing drains, & cleaning areas affected by leaks. Install, troubleshoot, repair, & maintain building electrical & lighting systems. Includes, but not limited to, lighting elements, ballasts, devices, fan motors, & circuit breakers. Provides routine & scheduled maintenance such as replacing bulbs, ballasts, & batteries. Perform basic carpentry tasks such as door repair & replacement, window repair & replacement, casework & signage repair & replacement. Maintains indoor & outdoor surfaces in regard to painting structures & objects, cleans surfaces, pressure washing, painting, & material repair & replacement. Install, repair & replace flooring & carpet. Performs other tasks as assigned.
