Maintenance and Operations has established wage scales for all positions. Hiring rate is typically step 1 - 2 of the posted salary range, depending on experience and subject to required approvals. The targeted hiring rate is set to allow for employees' growth within the role. This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the associated salary range (apx. 3.8%) subject to satisfactory performance, in addition to any negotiated Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).
The Road MaintenanceWorker is an entry-level position. The Maintenance and Operations Division is covered by a collective bargaining agreement that awards promotional priority to the qualified employee with the most seniority. This can mean several years of primary assignment to flagging and general labor duties. This position also has 13 paid holidays, paid vacation starting at 96 hours per year, and paid sick leave at 96 hours per year. Benefit premiums are fully paid by the employer for employees and their dependents.
Requires two years of recent work experience in any one or combination of the following areas: construction, road maintenance, logging, landscaping, traffic control, vehicle and equipment maintenance or other related field that directly involves the skills required to operate equipment, use hand and power tools, and perform manual labor common to road maintenance and construction.

Job Summary
As a Lawn Maintenance Crew Member, you will work independently or as part of a 2-3 person crew to maintain clients' properties. This is an outdoor, hands-on position that includes mowing, edging, blowing, and bed maintenance while meeting quality and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Follow procedures and direction from management

Qualifications and Skills:
Valid Washington State Driver's License

Experience using mowers, edgers, blowers, and other lawn equipment
Truck and enclosed trailer experience preferred

A Technician III shall be a graduate from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute, or complete factory/formal training on the devices at this site. Training or experience equivalence will be determined by the Government. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
