The Production Technician performs tasks associated with the formulation and production of finished goods to meet customer and quality requirements. This position operates formulation equipment in the production operation in order to maximize the output of the production line and performs online maintenance of all production equipment.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
Formulates raw materials into intermediate and finished product that conforms to all quality assurance standards and product and process SOP as prescribed.
Performs system clean-outs and product changeover between production campaigns.
Handles and labels hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements and Helena policy.
Properly packages and identifies waste in accordance with regulatory requirements and Helena policy.

Develops a run plan using the processor manuals.

Mechanical ManufacturingTechnician I is an entry level position. The purpose for an operator at this level is to gain a basic understanding of deburring and air grinding operations. What You Will Do

Essential Functions
Cutting fiberglass cloth to size, following template or blueprints, using cutting machines, scissors, or knives.
Applying layers of fiberglass cloth onto mold or fixture in predetermined ply sequence, and presses cloth to fit contours on mold, smooth surface, and remove air pockets and excess resin using squeegee, scraper, or spatula.
Encasing molded laminate in bagging material and bleeder cloth, attaches vacuum bagging apparatus.
Dispensing, handling, and applying composite resins and adhesives.
Trimming, drilling, grinding, sanding, and finishing cured parts to specifications, using templates, fixtures, tools, and power tools.
Pre-fitting and assembling cured parts into assemblies or subassemblies, using jigs, fixtures, power tools, and fasteners, such as rivets and bolts.
Following all safety practices and procedures.
Safely performing tasks such as applying bondo and paint, operating palm sander and other basic hand tools, handling chemicals (resin, paste, acetone), laying fiberglass and balsa core, operating cranes, etc.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
This position is part of a team responsible for general production activities throughout different seasons during the year. This will include but is not limited to, receiving seed, field activities such as planting and detasseling, conditioning/treating seed, warehousing/shipping, and equipment maintenance. Operating and overseeing critical machines and operations are central to this position while communicating production needs and improving processes.

**Minimum Required Qualifications**

**Pay and Benefits:**

Our Manufacturing Associates are responsible for safely producing quality products that meet delivery and cost expectations in a high-performing manufacturing plant.
Essential Functions
Cutting fiberglass cloth to size, following template or blueprints, using cutting machines, scissors, or knives.
Applying layers of fiberglass cloth onto mold or fixture in predetermined ply sequence, and presses cloth to fit contours on mold, smooth surface, and remove air pockets and excess resin using squeegee, scraper, or spatula.
Encasing molded laminate in bagging material and bleeder cloth, attaches vacuum bagging apparatus.
Dispensing, handling, and applying composite resins and adhesives.
Trimming, drilling, grinding, sanding, and finishing cured parts to specifications, using templates, fixtures, tools, and power tools.
Pre-fitting and assembling cured parts into assemblies or subassemblies, using jigs, fixtures, power tools, and fasteners, such as rivets and bolts.
Following all safety practices and procedures.
Safely performing tasks such as applying bondo and paint, operating palm sander and other basic hand tools, handling chemicals (resin, paste, acetone), laying fiberglass and balsa core, operating cranes, etc.

This will include but is not limited to, receiving seed, field activities such as planting and detasseling, conditioning/treating seed, warehousing/shipping, and equipment maintenance. Operating and overseeing critical machines and operations are central to this position while communicating production needs and improving processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, customer service, and professionalism
* Assist and lead safety programs
* Supervise shifts as needed
* Commit to a safe working environment and practices
* Assist in overseeing and/or training seasonal workers and full-time employees
* Assist in field operations and scouting
* Operate husking equipment, seed dryers, and/or shellers
* Operate and calibrate seed conditioning/treating equipment
* Operate packaging equipment
* Warehouse finished product and supplies, including checking for accuracy
* Maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment
* Complete all paperwork/reports in a timely and accurate manner
* Cross-training in all plant operations
* Assist with housekeeping and preventative maintenance of our equipment
* Responsible for projecting a positive image AgReliant Genetics and acting in accordance with the Company's Core Values
* Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma or equivalent preferred
* Work experience in seed/agriculture industry preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as individually
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to obtain a Certified Pesticide Applicator License and Commercial Driver's License as needed
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and common PC-based software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
* Ability to work assigned hours and shifts including overtime
* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions
* Ability to walk seed fields, up to 5 miles/day
* Must have a valid driver's license and meet MVR guidelines
